with the FJO... can i turn on the fuel solenoid before the nitrous to prevent any leaning out?? There are a few things that the edge has that i would really like to have that im not sure the FJO has... no has any solid reasons to have the FJO over the Edge.
The FJO has won and is winning the popularity contest. It is used by MANY MANY people.
Now the edge is a lil less talked about... why is that? Is it a newer product?

id say yes because its a newer product hsw just released it last year fjo has been around for a while just like when nitto first came to the market everyone still ran the bfgs now its a preferance of what your looking for in a tire just like the two controllers they are both good products and both have their distinct features that set them apart but its your personal goals of what you need to make your nitrous setup safe reliable and user friendly for yourself if its that hard of a decision then i would call both companies and ask them to send you a list of what features their controllers have

The FJO does not have a delay for the n20 noid. I know that it would just be a matter of programming. Maybe Ricky could get the guys at FJO to add this. However..after operating a few DP setups that did have the lean spike and doing some things to adress that...I think the best way to combat that problem is to correctly setup the fuel system. That problem is all in the regulator/plumbing IMO and getting a VERY good regulator and placing it as close to the fuel noid as possible with the return going back from that same point will cure any problems. Regulator response time to pressure drop is critical. IOW..dont cheap out on the regulator. What I saw with lean spikes seemed to be more of regulator lag and control issues. When I tried to delay the nitrous...all it did was make it go rich first...then lean...then back to normal. The amount of nitrous delay in input just increased the lenght of rpm it would go rich by that amount. Because the fuel was flowing....but it just wasnt flowing at the correct pressure until the regulator reacted. So it ended up being a trade off. I eventually corrected the problems with proper plumbing and regulator setup.
If this is not a direct port system and is a regular plate or nozzle kit you wont have any problems with lean spikes.
I cannot tell you which one would be better for your application...I can just comment on the FJO since I have uesd them...and sell them. I have installed and run about 4 - 5 of the small ones and a few Maximizers as well. All worked excellent.

ok... im looking into this deeper than i probly need to. I just want to get the best that i can get for the money.
Im taking a stock LT1 with 1800 miles on it and only plan on spraying a 100 shot.
I never plan on going larger. So the fuel and what not is not as crucial as some of you guys have to make it. I could get away with a 100 dry and im doing wet, so im sure i'll be fine.
Will the fact that im 5000+ feet above sea level make any difference with the shot im spraying?

Well depending on what kind of money i come up with will kinda decide what one I go with. To be honest, i would like to have the Edge. But If I cannot come up wiht the $350+ i need for hte controller and nitrous filter, i May go with the FJO (I know it is a good product and is NOT a mistake. I just would like to have the Edge).
Thought i would let ya'll know. Thanks for your help. Hoefully whatever i end up with works to my expectations.

could someone lay out what the EDGE offers over the FJO?? I'm curious....I have the FJO and thought it was by far the best, and I thought the EDGE just had the option of lots of stages (FJO is only 2 stage, which I only need one anyway).

I have been using the WBC with my 185 shot, and it works perfect. The only bad thing is it's not a true window switch, it only allows an "on" parameter. If it goes leaner than 12.5, it doesn't spray (how I have it set). DEFINATELY a cool feature on the WBC

THe reason I will stick with the FJO is solely based on the RPM ramped feature.
I now understand why some people choose the Edge over the FJO though. With the FJO, you really want a Laptop (which I have to log with my WBC anyway) unless you don't mind running in and out of the garage/house to change settings, but with the Edge you change settings right on it (however it lacks the RPM feature).
THe reason I will stick with the FJO is solely based on the RPM ramped feature.
I now understand why some people choose the Edge over the FJO though. With the FJO, you really want a Laptop (which I have to log with my WBC anyway) unless you don't mind running in and out of the garage/house to change settings, but with the Edge you change settings right on it (however it lacks the RPM feature).

I will have to say myself.. that the instructions for the Edge are far more user friendly than the FJO.. im not sayin the FJO is difficult or anything, but the Edge jsut makes things that much easier.

I would have to disagree with that. You drag a little bubble at the % you want, and you are done. Can it get any easier than that???
Not to put words in ones mouth, but I think Dragframe meant that the manual is more detailed as far as installation on specific platforms and explanations of each feature. I could be completely wrong though.

Yeah... im mainly aiming that comments towards the hardware instalation of the two controllers. Edge has better wiring diagrams, has nice platform specific information, and is easier to understand. FJO is sumwaht confusing the way they word things, diagrams are not as easy to read (though still simple, but we are comparing here...). THe manual is just not set up as well. \
Actual use is simple... i mean the FJO is self explainitory once the hardware is installed. Edge is just the most simple thing i have found to set up and use. And it includes a ton of features that are integrated and with the controller... the FJO you have to add your own lil relays and do your own ****.
