Default Remote Bottle Openers, Yea or Nay?

I've heard from a sponsor, and from a few other members that remote bottle openers have been "real hit and miss."

How was/is your experience with your remote opener? Worth the money?

If you don't have one, why? Just can't be bothered?

Thanks.

*edit* omfg wrong forum i had four LS1Tech windows open at once.. hit 'make thread' in wrong one. Can a mod move please? Sorry for mixup.

My nitrous kit isn't exactly "hidden" so i i fig'd I'd save myself some money and just mount it behind the passenger seat.

I dont see a lot of reason for one. Im not going to buy one. I can open the bottle if im going to go out and about and beat on some people... if it is closed, that is because it probly should be.

If your not mounting the bottle with in reach from the drivers seat, I would get one. If I'm in my car, the bottle is always open, never know when your going to need it.

If you go to the track, wouldn't you have to vent it if it's in the backseat, or in the rear well?

If you goin to have it located in yout Spare Tire spot, Or a Hard to Reach Area then I would sa yes. If you will have it in reach such as the hump in the back seats then No . use ur Hand. Or Just Be PIMP and get it to say you have it HAHA.

My bottle is in the spare area...the opener makes it easy because I have to haul bookbags, bats, gloves etc. Now my bottle doesn't have to be open all the time.

If you do decide to get one, get the motor style opener (not the solenoid). They're more for people who want to open/close their bottle without having to manually turn the know. Solenoid systems are usually more for people who want a kind of emergency shutoff switch for their bottle.

I really want to get a Dynotune opener, but it would only work with one of my bottles (other one is a TNT), so unless I change over the valve in the TNT bottle I don't think I can justify buying it. Although I was on the freeway yesterday in my friends car and we drove right by a new Ferrari 430 Spider. If I was driving my car I probably would have driven it off a cliff after loosing the change to run a ferrari because I didn't have a way to turn my bottle on.

I dont have one yet, but Im just waiting for Dynotune to finish up the opener for the new 45degreeNX valves. I have the bottle mounted in the bed and I dont like to have it open on long trips.

1- Spare tire + electric opener = choice
or
2- else where + hand open = choice

Do you want both options in #1? If not goto #2. Tada!! LOL.

if only it were that easy. i guess im just trying to see if there is a way to justify me not installing the bottle in the back and putting it between back seats instead. I'd hate to have it stolen and ripped out..

I'm leaning toward one.

OKay here is my first nitrous set up...now if you have T-Tops this won't work. It was ugly, stealthy and a manual opener. I still use the false floor and have my bottle in the spare compartment. Lift up the floor and to the uninitiated it looks like I no longer run n20...

Gotta hate that original Zex color. Glad I switched to NX and black!! Maybe that will help! Good luck!
