I am thinking about doing this...but I wanna see if anyone else has done it.

who makes a set of bottle brackets that is cage mounted?

KRS30 - NX does...and edelbrock..I am thinking of doing a custom type thing...

The cage is a wolf 5pt and the brackets are NX. mounting a 15 lbs bottle.

Cage went in easy (just be careful not to drill your fuel line )

The bottle is easy to get to from the driver seat and the NX billet brackets are a true quick release making bottle changes easy.

30thz, could you get me a picture of where the roll cage enters the speaker grill? I'm thinking about cutting my grill for something and i didn't know how it would turn out

so anything close up would help! thanks!

 

I would but you really don't want a close up of the butcher job I did on the grills. I tried to use a hole saw but the drill just caught the holes in the grill and ripped them up. I am going to fab a new grill cover that relocates the speaker to the rear. Where the tube enters is the same spot as the speaker so I can't use them.

 

Great hiding spot LOL! Just kidding, but I just had to say it. Looks great though.

 

what did you have to do to install the cage does it go in thru the rear hatch ? thinking about ordering one for this race season, did you have to remove the rear hatch or disconnect the the hydrolic struts to lift the hatch and glass high enough to clear the cage going in?

 

It's a wolfe bolt in chromemoly all you remove is the sill panels and seats. Remove the t tops and it slides right in.

 

do you think its possible to cut the grills and make it look good?

I'm probably going to hack into mine but i was wondering how they'll come out

 

I've seen some very clean installs take your time, measure everything, make cardboard templates to practice and use a sharp blade.

Should have listened to my own advice but I rushed it.
