Totally depends on the state. You should be able to look up your state vehicle code online to get an idea.

Seems like you can have a filled bottle in your car, but the line has to be disconnected from the bottle when the cop views your setup

The law here in minnesota says that you can have it hooked up as long as the bottle is closed.

In most states it's either "bottle inside car is ok, but can't have it open" or "bottle inside car is ok, but can't have a hose connected to it". Just check with your state and local laws to be sure.

If you're in Georgia I believe its "nitrous not allowed on any vehicle other than motorhomes". LOL.

To the best of my knowledge, there are not any vehicles that came with nitrous systems installed from the factory. Maybe it was a dealer option that was installed at the dealership (a la the GMMP, Baldwin Motion, Yenko cars from the past), but I doubt it. The problem is that the parts of the nitrous system would have to meet/pass the vehicle regulations for all the states, which would include CARB in California. Regular steet braided teflon hoses don't pass CARB regs, so that's a big problem for most (if not all) of the nitrous manufacturers.

I don't see if being too far off in the future though. There are just a few hurdles to get over (concerning EPA/DMV regs), but I think nitrous systems will be showing up on some special dealership cars pretty soon.

I guess Chopstix and I were typing at the same time. I stand corrected. But what does "nitrous ready" mean? I wonder if they mean that the motor has been built to handle nitrous but you have to provide the nitrous system?

get this- if you fill the bottle you void the warranty...... so if you use the power they give you, your warrnty is null and void

I've been pulled over 4 times since my nitrous install. All 4 times, my bottle was on, armed and over 1000psi. My bottle is in clear view... none of them have ever said anything.

In FL you can have the bottle installed and open and line connected. They allow this because it has sulfar in it. The only think you might get in trouble for is transporting a compressed substance with out the proper markings on the out side of the car. (DOT would nail you for this). Everystate is different ask your local PD about your state laws.
