...to all the big hitting nitrous cars? I know the black ESP car Gary had was sold. My car has been going through some changes and hasn't seen the track. There were a few cars that threw down some serious numbers at the end of last year and then no more updates. Did folks bust up their stuff going fast? Is everyone keeping a low profile and trying new things?

Post up folks, what's going on?

im doing my new setup hoping to go 8's got my chute on, all my wiring out, and the motor is started at the machine shop and everything is ordered exept the pistions. (crank/rods should be here today accually!!)
i know im not a heavy hitter, but i held my own in the middle weight class! hehe

I pulled my 415 out for the time being. I was trying to run a T56 setup for fun...but I just couldnt find a clutch that would cooperate with the power of roughly 850 rwhp and 1.3 sixty foots. Im sure there is something out there but I quit that crap. I just finished installing a cam only stock longblock with bolt ons, converted back to a dry, and put in a TH400 with 4200 stall and T brake. Just finally drove it yesterday. Ill have some fun on this and see how fast it can go...if the car feels ok...the 415 will go back in with something more serious.

I'm surely NOT one of the 'big' guns, but:

New 408 set-up is coming along. New cam, heads, intake, fuel system, etc, etc,. Our season up here does not start until the end of April. It should be done by than. Will be sticking with the TNT setup for now. The rest of tranny, suspension, rear-end will stay the same. Goal this year will be "solid" 9's.

Last year was a total bust

David

Guess I'll stay in the light-middle class Had to order a new rearend, then sort out a couple little issues, hopefully hit the track before it shuts down for good. If it closes at the end of March as scheduled, I'll be sucking, along with about 10 other guys here. Sounds like its up to you and Noyzee....go get 'em.

Damn.... I'm the weakest link here

I haven't sprayed with the 4:10's and 4200 stall yet.
Nitrous times in sig are from 3:23's and 3200... times to come

****, guess i'm a middle weight too then! When did a 300 shot get downgraded too middle weight!

On a side note, can't wait to see ur car run when it's done, i'm sure you'll be right up there with the big dogs!

And i'm not racing mine till I have my safety stuff, so i'll be around with some new numbers soon! Really gotta get some weight out of her though, and then maybe i'll really put some nice runs up!

Mr Powell is off at school but will be back in two months for another round of racing. 8.50's is the goal as the car sits.

Doesn't everybody want anything quicker than a .52?

What kind of raceweight y'all sittin at now?

I haven't heard anything about the Icon folks after laying down that big number (without even running it out the back based on the mph). Did they hurt it bad?

Raceweight was 3100. As far as I know the black Formula is still running. I could be wrong though.

Our car should be ready by the end of March. Not really "heavy hitters" but the car should fly!

My car will not be a heavy hitter but should do some high 8's. Should be finished with everything within the next month or two.

Sorry to say Tony, but 8's from an LS1 is heavy. Quit being so modest.

My turd will be done hopefully soon. Just ordered my fuel system and the Gen VII standalone..... Motor is almost identical to Tony Shepherd's.... Solid roller 383 LT1 with single plane and AFR 227's... Should be good for 8's with both stages going (either 300/100 or 250/150 depending on traction).... Safety, drivetrain, interior, and suspension is done... now all that's left is fuel system, electronics, and wire up the gauges...... oh and actually put the motor in it instead of it sitting on an engine stand. that might help...
