Default Help with a wiring diagram please?

I was hoping that someone with a similar setup (or experience) could help me out with a wiring diagram for this setup that I will be running?

The items that I will be needing to wire up are as follows:

Nitrous Direct Pro Dry Kit,
Analog MSD Window Switch,
Bottle Heater (300w Cold Fusion?)
Purge kit (still do not know which one to get, any suggestions?)

I have most of the hardware and supplies that I need (except a 'clue' about how to actually wire them together) + I have allready made a switchbox (3 switches) + I have the factory wiring diagrams for my car so I know where to tap into for my keyed 12v source...

Could someone with some experience please help out some? I have some cool toys but don't want to ruin anything with improper wiring...
I was hoping for some help with a wiring diagram and some suggestions about what and where for fuses in this system.

Thanks for looking guys, As allways I appreciate any and all help that you have to offer.

Be aware that you may need to consider new injectors and a possible fuel pump upgrade too. Your vendor should know what you need as you explain your needs. If they do not, let us know what shot you desire and we'll help you figure out fuel requirements made necessary by dry systems. BTW - i'll post a jpeg of wiring this eve at home. I'm certain Matt will be very helpful to you.

As stated You need to check the A/F and fuel pressure. Or throw a good Racetronix pump on it and up your injectors. This will leave some room for more spray.

This is what I used worked well for me. Later

Just follow the diagram that came with your bottle heater it should be self-explanatory.

I sure do appreciate all of you guys trying to help out with this...

One thing I learned very quickly about this site is that there are many people on here who know MUCH more about these cars than me...

And sometimes, If you ask them nicely..., They will help out!

2001whiteSS6spd, Thanks man, That looks like the setup I will be running (less the heater). Awesome diagram!

227Hawk, I was planning to buy a fuel pressure gauge (might as well check it since I have to install the FPSS anyway) and as far as the AF ratio, I still need to find a local place to help me with that. I dropped all my play $$$ on this stuff so the HP Tuners program will have to wait a little while.
(at least untill the wife stops scanning the checkbook for N2O stuff... )

Question: Can they check my AF ratio with a 'tailpipe' type sniffer of do I need to buy a wideband sensor and install it before I go get checked? If I need the WBO2 sensor for accurate results then I want to install it myself. I can't stand the thought of someone else 'wrenching' on my car... I can tear it up just fine all by myself! Thanks for helping me out 227Hawk...

I don't remember ever seeing wire size discussed on this forum.

Go to this link and refer to the 3rd chart down.

http://www.rbeelectronics.com/wtable.htm

It makes choosing the right wire size easy. All you need to know is the amperage draw of the items you are hooking up. If in doubt a bigger wire never hurts. It is easy to use the wrong size wire. Choose a wire to small and you risk component damage from excess voltage drop or even a fire. If the wire is to big it is just harder to work with.

Moderators: What do you think about posting this as a sticky?

Thanks for the info Terry. I was unsure about the proper guage of the wire to use so I took some of the wire that came with the kit to 'radio hack' and got some more of the same but in different colors. I also found some 1/2" flex tube at the auto parts store that looks identical to the factory stuff. My plan was to run my flex tube/wiring harness alongside of the factory stuff wherever possible for a clean looking install.

Do you have any suggestions as far as fuses go? How did you set up yours and what type did you use? Did you get your 12v power from the alternator or the battery? Just curious how you did it.

As soon as I get my harness fabbed up I am going to find some aluminum bar stock and build some custom noid holders with some 'bling'... Pics coming soon!

I just finished my wiring diagram. I have a Z06 so you my 12v source will be different than yours. You will need to find 1 or more 12v switched power sources. You can't use the alternator or the battery. You only will use the battery for the power to the relay as shown in the diagram above.

I did fuse mine with several fuses. they are cheap and make it much easier to trouble shoot if you have a problem. I'm suprised that most wiring diagrams you see show few if any fuses.

Your wiring diagram will vary depending on what accessories you have. Send me a PM or call me at work 913-895-5726 befor 4:00 PM central time today & we can talk. I will be glad to help any way I can.

I have a solenoid bracket pic I could e-mail you if you want to see it.
