Robert, just found out some data about the MAF system. The vette we used was an 01. with an 02 ZO6 sensor. So I figure what the heck lets call the GM dealer, both years use the same sensor, pn# 2531841.
SO to the orginal question. the one piece maf fits the 02 Zo6 Corvettes maf sensor perfectly. Hope this helps.
I did see one of Daves plates on this vette and it fits just fine. Really it was a little tall, I think that is why Dave shortened them a little to give lots of room.

So there is no flow restrictions or interference from the MAF kit, and it does work on a Z06, so why haven't you sent me one to test out?
Now, on Dave's plate, I'll wait for Dave. But, this may be more critical if the 75mm plate is into the air stream, if it's based on absolute size requirements. Once again, I wonder if Dave's was speced for a C5 or a Z06.

I've seen it before.
I've seen it before.Different Cam, springs, valves, exhaust, cat back, trannys, clutch, rearend, shocks, glass, insulation, engine, maf, throttle body, intake track, tires, wheels, antenna, tune, valve covers, battery, seats, body, springs, sway bars, driveline, exhaust manifolds, heads, brake pads, rotors and more that I can't recall at the moment.
So my contention that a c5 is hardly a Z06 holds some weight. Also, to further this contention is the ongoing fast Z06 list, either BONE STOCK or STOCK CAI/DOT TIRE is included in the list. Now if you can find a stock C5 that can come any where close, or for that matter any car, then maybe my statement was over emphasized.
The list and entire thread can be seen, with links-videos/time slips at: Z06 Fast List Thread
But here is the list (don't forget to check who has the eighth fastest Z06 in da world
):
Here is a list of stock and stock cai/dr Z06 times. One list was started by J-Rod last year and others added from LS1tech, Corvetteforum and Z06Vette.com, also I added a few I have found. I started this list because on many other forums the capabilities of the Z06 are not realized, or they are denied. Please add your times and any others you are aware of.
Also, any missing info, or on wrong list, on posted times please submit.
Thanks Robert
Will be adding links for time slips/video where possible. Please Pm/Post with info.

Oh, and yes Nitrous Direct will be adding a dedicated Z06 kit, it will be a trick azz plate kit. Now in the meantime, for those besides the original poster (minytrker) ,who stated he wants other than a nozzle type, we do have the PRO Dry kit as the Z06 favorite and also The PRO Wet, both speced for the lsx/vette platform, but universal concerning C5/Z06.
Here is a quote from the intro thread:
And a pic of the wet kit:

Here is a quote from the intro thread:
I would like to introduce the new PRO Dry kit, a Nitrous Direct house kit, based on the Cold Fusion 400hp n2o noid (lifetime guarantee). Designed especially for the LSx platform: F-Bodys, Y-bodys (c5/c6). It is a dual nozzle set-up for the best/even MAF reading, using Stainless Steel nozzles, not aluim like other kits. Horse power ratings come to 125, however, the sky is the limit when upgraded injectors and/or fuel pump are added. (higher than 125hp on some vehicles out of the box: ask)
Myself, Scott and Ellis (Speed Secrets) have collaberated on specing this new kit for the LSx. We feel it is a great bargain, using quality parts, and a very complete and ready to go kit, with safety items included ie: fuel press safety switch, NHRA blow down kit (these are normally an extra charge). We chose to use, as the heart of this system, a 400hp PRO Cold Fusion solenoid for durability and future hp upgrading. This is a very clean straight foward install. This kit is also easy to convert to dual stage and/or progressive when ready (these noids can handle progressive). Redundant solenoids are available for those who wish.
Nirous Direct will support all of your technical needs, don't be afraid to e-mail or pm me, with no questions consider unimportant. We will help in anyway needed before, during or after install. We hope to earn your trust and future purchases.
I will personaly be changing out my dual stage 5177 to the better quality PRO Dry. Look for a dual stage version of the PRO Dry at a later date, or can upgrade for you now.
Look for new kits and products to be released in the near future.
***All kits now included a free DVD install video for wet/dry kits and all acc. a industry first.***
PRO Dry kit price $525, with a limited time free bottle blanket (see me for code). Compare the completeness of this kit, and price, to others, and you will see the bargain. Here is a pic.

Well, I hope this is not to strong..
Here is the difference between myself and others. When I go to build a product I buy things. I do not wait for another company to make it so I can copy it.!!!!
As far the maff. I have all the maffs sitting right here. Yep every single part number.. You see I bought everyone of them when doing my research. Dont always believe what you read. Go pick up some cars or buy some intakes or maffs. Then take a set of calipers and do your home work...
Thats all I have to say. I payed lots of money to do my home work. Im not sharing anymore info.
Thanks
Dave

Just trying to understand this statement, are you saying you created nitrous systems, and are the inventor and creator of nitrous plates? That was your original idea? Wow if so, simply outstanding!

I bet if the MAF had the little flags and a Z06 emblem on it the dealer would've picked up on the difference. They could probably charge about 60% more on the price too.
I wonder if any of the service guys ever accused tampering when they saw the MAF has no screen.

I hope it did not come off that way. I actually was going to delete my post but the site went down.LOL
My point was that when we desighn our products we do our homework and make our own desighns. We do not reverse engineer (copy) others. So with that said. I still have all the mass air meters that I bought when looking into some things. I have a buddy with a 04 ZO6. He is bringing it to me next moth for us to build some more products off of. So I will be happy to also mic the intake throat on that car also... I am not aware of any differences...
Dave
ohh ok I gotcha!! Thought we had an Al Gore on our hands
Reverse engineering in any industry is how the industry evolves, from household cleaners, to cars, to computer electronics. I think it's awesome that you spend the time, money and effort working on specific niche products and stuff for customers, that are not offered by our manufacturers etc.. Nothing wrong with that at all.

It's why you have what you have today your car, your stuff in your house, your ofifce, your phone system, computers, this website, etc... everything.. someone creates it, invents it others improve upon it... <shrug> it's life
Not to take sides in you guy's little debate, but Scott, I don't think you and Dave are on the same page. Dave is referring to companies taking an product and just blatantly copying it with minimal changes (if any). That type of thing is not what pushes an industry forward.
However, I agree with you Scott, evolution and innovation is what will take an industry to the next level and continue to move it forward. Taking a part and making it better by redesigning it or improving upon the original design is great I think, but taking the part and just taking to a machinist or whoever and asking them to make it with another logo on it is neither evolution or innovation.
Do not take this the wrong way, I am in no way saying that anyone in this thread is doing what I mentioned above. I am merely pointing out that I don't think Scott and Dave are on the same page based on reading their posts.
On the topic, Robert, the only MAF that our 1-piece system won't fit is the 3-piece MAF on the F-body/pre-'01 vettes (I think everyone can say "duh" on that one, lol), and it won't fit the '06 ZO6 due to GM deciding to make the MAF and air lid all one piece on the new ZO6's. Looks great, but sucks since we just designed our 1-piece MAF system and they change things up on us, lol. It is possible that with a little tweaking and modifying you could get the 1-piece to fit on the new ZO6's, but it definately would not be as easy as it is to install on all previous ZO6's. Like Ricky said, our test car was a ZO6 and it fits beautifully without restrictions in flow.
