blowdown needed for trunk mount?

If I mount bottle in trunk do I need blowdown tube?

If no partition between seats and trunk you'll need to vent it outside the car. Most tracks follow this rule as per NHRA/IHRA, and I have been busted by tech for this and couldn't run my n2o.

yes, you will need a blowdown tube to pass tech at NHRA/IHRA tracks.

Is it ok for the blowdown to be a braided stainless line of appropriate size? or does it have to be tubing?

from my understanding, braided line is fine. after all, the main line going from the bottle to the n2o noid is braided line.

definatley need one, my local track would not let me spray or have the bottle in the car till I had one, wasted 15.00 bucks that day

Yes you can use braided. The blow-off just needs to be 'vented' to exterior.

LMAO! When I go to the track they have NO idea that I even have the juice installed. No blowdown tube here. I have it in the spare tire well FWIW. I am not too worried about it coming in contact with me from there.

Yes, you will need a blowdown kit. Either hard tubing or steel braided hose. Keep in mind that the end that sticks out, should be secured and not aim at a piece of frame or some other part of the car. exp. 1/2 aluminum thick wall, customer stuck thou floor pan, but had about 1" between the end of the tube and a piece of the car. Disc popped, and pushed the tube back into the car.
