Default NX dry downgrade

I see people upgrading dry kits to wet, but getting a fuel noid and a nozzle,

can i install a NX 20920 wet kit as a dry kit? would that be stupid?

why i'm thinking of this.
I like the idea of having the maf involved to calculate load and the ecm adding the fuel... so with my hptuners I can pull
timing where the load is higher than N/A from 3000-6000

and

I feel like there is less of a chance for a back fire by not spraying fuel into my
smooth bellow....

give me your thoughts....

I suspect that the answer is yes, but I would never speak for a vendor or NX. Jetting nees to be updated. The nitrous still has to remain in balance with a fuel load if it comes from a fuel solenoid or injetctors. If it makes sense and you do it it's not stupid...if NX or an NX vendors says "NO" and you do it...well then...stupidity is a logical conclusion.

The Dry vs Wet argument is a pandoras box around there here parts...my best answer this morning is this...if you want to go dry go dry. Now think about this...how many wet kits are sold vs how many catastrophic backfires...the odds are pretty good that a properly installed wet system will be fine.

I think I dated Pandora Box, once. Good input Macon. There is no problem with any wet kit changing to dry. I do know that NX now has a dry nozzle. Myself, as most know, am a dry guy, so I support your choice. I think a properly set-up dry hit is just as effective as a wet kit, with a little added piece of mind. Now with that said, I will be adding a wet stage to my car, go figure?

If your kit is setup properly and working properly and giving you the HP you want..I wouldnt bother.

However...under certain curcumstance it may make sense to go to a dry kit. Both monetarily and tune wise.

And then yet again as power level rises it may agin be benifical to go to a wet or combo wet dry. So it depends on your goals.

What kind of power are you looking for? What size shot and what total amount of HP?

I have the NX kit 20920 ... but I have not installed it yet. i've been reading for months... and been on the fence... now i've pulled the trigger, and I guess I am
second guessing myself.

I am looking at 100hp shot...

after watching the install video from coldfusion.
I am nervous about the nozzle install... do you put it in the bellow between the maf and TB? i feel like fuel will be left behind... I guess not... but that is my feeling...
or does the shark nozzle atomize the nitrous and fuel to such a fog, it will not pool up?

I like the maf plate... but that is another 349 to my kit...

I already have $1100 in it

the efi kit for 589
GENX-2 upgrade for 389
and a NX window swtich for 149

Im in the same boat. I have a GM EFI Wet kit. But the intake that i am using (superRam) is huge and im a little unsure about the fuel getting caught up in places it shouldnt. But then on the other hand i can just get a dry nozzle and set up a dry shot but im a little unsure about leaving it up to the maf either!!?! Im running an LT1 so my maf is a little farther away and it makes a 90 degree turn at the throttle body im sure thats not good for flowing nitrous AND Gas ..

You have all the right parts man...including the WOT switch and window switch. I wouldnt worry about this for a second longer. Use the wet kit just as you bought it.

At that HP level the tuning that you may be able to do with the dry is a non issue...so there is no real gain there.

Dont sweat it..your choice is fine. Start the install in steps and do it all correctly and youll have no worries.

Good luck

I'd say the plugs are a must.

well, I decided to take 383LQ4SS's advice and i plan to install it wet, but I am waiting for my GENx2 kit that is on back order before the actual install

I have the fernco mod, I guess that is a good place to mount the nozzle?
clock position 3 or 9 I am thinking. not 12 or 6
