Are ngk's gapped right.......
Doh .035 is what I'm at guess my finger got lazy. I had them at 28 but regapped at the dyno last time there. I had a miss ended up being a crappy wire.

Guys...as Ben said...gap is a function of cylinder pressure and the amount of mass in the cylinder prior to spark. The more of that stuff you have the more power youll make. A 400 hp H&C car with 11 to 1 compression could run .045-.55 gap. Same car with a 150 shot will probably want a .032-.038. And a 300 shot maybe like .025-.030.
The only negative effect from too small a gap I have noticed was a slightly rougher idle at times.
