Default would it be dumnb to spray again ?

ok ...i recently blew my motor on a 100 shot...havent pulled the motor yet so not exactly sure wat happend....i hit it above 3k and it just made a rattling noise and sounded like something fell out...so im assuming i put something through the block....either way im buying a short block with 35k on and putting wat ever i didnt break onto that and swapping the motor into my car....now i still haev the N20 but i cant afford to blow another motor...oh and i never changed the plugs when i shot...i was to excited to try out the juice....so if i changed the plugs over this time...any other saftey precatuions i can take...? cause i am addicted and i spent a lot on the kit to not use it..so should i just stick with the 50 jet and be happy? or if i take a couple more precautions and run 100 shot ill be ok??? thanx guys i need all the help i can get right now

Dry shot Using Stock Plugs = Bang Bang . Try chanigng your plugs Next time. When your Kit is setup correctly. You should be in good shape only spraying 100 shot.

Asuming the new short block is in good shape, I wouldn't hesitate to hit it again. Just do it right this time. If you blew up with a 100 shot that quick something may have been going wrong even before you started spraying. You where spraying a dry shot right? If so I would have the injectors flowed before you put the new motor togethor, get yourself a fuel pressure gauge too.

BTW: A 50 shot isn't even worth it. If you want to go that route just sell the whole nitrous set up and get yourself a nice cam.

Was this a dry or wet shot? If wet, was the fuel noid working? If dry, was the nozzle in front of the maf(stupid question, but have to ask)?

Any dyno runs or logging of the A/F? Also was that the very first time you hit the spray?

If you have a Dynotune dry shot, the biggest jet that comes with there kit is a (48). Pretty sure your only getting about 75-80 rwhp with that jet.

My opinion is upgrade to a wet kit, and get a good tuner to tune the car for you. He will know exactly how to tune in terms of A/F ratios and timing for the nitrous.

Oh yeah, and run the NGK TR6 plugs.

A saying I once heard....If you can pay, don't spray. **** happends, you can take all the precautions in the world, but their a chance of something going wrong. IMHO. That's one of the reason why I haven't sprayed my car again. I also have a New F2 Tnt kit with all the safety options. Again, just my opinion.

I'd spray again but I like to live on the edge anyways.

Well you found out the hard way why to change the plugs to colder ones. Anyway I would spray again. Be sure to get some TR6 plugs, have a FPSS, window switch, and a WOT switch. MAny of us here have been spraying a long time on the motor and it is OK. There is a possibility there was already something wrong and you spraying just brought it out faster. Good luck with your new motor, hope it all goes well and you get around to spraying it again.

gm muscle has a good point check your injectors also change your plugs to tr6's gap em at 36-38 and before you spray again bring it to your local tuner and have him check your current setup and have them tune your car for the spray. i haven't been spraying as long as most of the guys on this board but i've sprayed my car on a 100 shot dry with mods in sig and a stock fuel system for at least 18 passes and never had a problem.
