Anyone running a Zex kit w/a digital window switch?
I just picked up a new single nozzle Zex kit and a digital window switch for use on my Z06. It has said to me that getting the window switch to work in unison with the Zex box is somewhat difficult and requires someone with the "knowhow" to make it work.....
Many on this site seem overly technical therefor I'm looking to you guys for tips/advice.
All insight is appreciated.
TIA
Alan
This is what I did, and I'm sure it will sound confusing, hopefully I can decribe it right.
You will also need a standard 4 wire relay
Use the widow switch to ground the ground the coil side of a relay.
Wire the pos coil side of the relay to 12V+
Cut the TPS wire that goes from the TPS to the ZEX box and run it through the switched side of the relay.
Once wired this way , the zex box will not see the tps signal until the window switch allows it to.

If not using a FPSS just put yellow msd wire onto the 85 pin.

I don't wire them that way because I'm afraid that the Zex box dosen't respond quickly from powering up by using the main power. Thats why I use a relay to cut the TPS signal. I know they are designed to respond quickly from TPS signals. I guess either way would defenetly work its just a matter of response time.
To alter your wiring diagram, wire back up the main power to the ZEX box. Then cut the TPS wire and wire it into terminals 86 & 87 on the relay
