They are really helpfull in Climates where it is cold. Cold Bottles have lower pressures 
Put a heater on them and they warm up. They warm up and the Pressure goes up to the range you need

It is a two fold answer. Its main objective is to try and keep the bottle temp stable and protected from a cold environment but it also helps to stabilize the bottle temp when the bottle is in use. What I am saying is that obviously while you are spraying the car the bottle pressure is dropping as well as the temp of the bottle and the two feed off of each other. The bottle blanket when used in conjunction with a bottle heater helps to offset this effect some and will help lead to a more stable environment and there-by help make more power while using the gas. As the bottle temp drops while being used so does your power level. One last note, as with anything else not all bottle heaters are the same. You WILL get what you pay for, please keep this in mind. Im not planning on skimping so far. twin 15lb bottles with a 200-500 direct port setup. Pilled for a fat 200 right now. Just want to have all my pigs in a blanket before I go WOT and unload. Thanks Big Geek!
