Default 300ftlbs from 150 jets?

Just wondering if a tnt wet shot jetted at 150hp can gain double in torque. Just got the car back from the dyno and it made about 315 more ftlbs then over naturally aspirated. Im runnind an 01 ws6 m6 through a 9inch,stock heads just a 224 cam and full bolt ons. My torque number on juice was 703ftlbs, is that right?

yes its possible. The lower your hit the juice in rpm and the higher the TQ # will be. However you are probably over the limit for pump gas. i would be willing to bet there was detonation on that run if it was on 93 octane. if you want your shortblock to live youll need to either run 100 octane or raise the activation point rpm where the juice comes on or both. Are you running a window switch?

if you keep hitting 700+ rwtq on the stock shortblock and 93 octane the pistons wont last long.

My tuner tuned it for the nitrous by seting the total advance to a max of 26 degrees advance. He said there was no detonation. I do have a window switch and it was set to activate at 3000-6500rpms. As soon as my scaner wants to work ill post the graph. There was a little spike but the low end was still in the mid to upper 600s.

26 degrees 93 octane and 700+ rwtq may work a time or two on the dyno. But i would either adjust the window switch to 3600 rpm, run 100 octane or jet down a tad before hitting that on the street IMO.

Damn good numbers, but I agree with Al that a stock bottom end motor is not going to like 700+ft./lbs. for very long. Dyno numbers can be impressive, but putting that amount of power to the ground on the street/track is entirely different. I would back the power down a little and run 100+ octane fuel.

Congrats on the numbers, but don't expect the stock bottom end to last long at that level.

That's why (what al and jeremy said) I chose to go multi stage. I wanted to break up the all in one torque monster into more manageable shots so my stock long block would last. I am now preparing for the 250/300 total shot, as soon as I fix my axle from an already upped 1st stage torque spike. Will we ever learn? I hope so.

Great number, But i'm a concerned about Dyno load ,and on the street.
Check your spray R.P.M. as has been suggested. That's a lot of torque
hitting!

I've never heard of such a thing... Check your window switch to be sure that it is coming on when you say it is... JMHO.

When i hit those number i had it set to activate at 3000, then i set it to 3400 we ran it again and i still hit really high,687ftlbs. Im completly blown away at those numbers. I though with about 550hp my torque would be maybe 600. Im goin to go ahead with the advise and bump up to a 3600 pill and use 100 octane at the track. thanx for the all the fore warnings, dont want to blow up this year.

pump gas that timing that motor will not last, theres no way around it. Id pull thetiming back a good bit and run some decent gas
