Default The fight for tens...

I had it out to the track tonight and I was having MAJOR problems hooking, even on very little spray. The track was not really prepped at all, it was very windy, my tires are almost done, and my car doesn't hook to begin with. It was a long battle, but it was fun. I did end the night with the owner of the track telling me that I am "officially" banned from the track and they will have my name on file until I come back with the full list of safety gear. He was very cool about it, though, and we BS'd about how my car should be running easy mid 10s on the 132mph that I was trapping if it could actually hook. He told me to make one more pass and call it a night and walked back to the tower. A minute later, the staging lane worker comes over to me and tells me that they were just told to stop and lay me down some VHT. So, he kicked me out, but at least he gave me a fun last pass. :-) New tires, roll cage, and another 125 horsepower worth of nitrous coming to a track soon. ;-)

Thanks... it'd be nice if it could hook, but I'd much rather keep it an all around street car with great handling. :-)

Seriously I think if you would lower the rear of your car a bit, that at least 80% of your traction problems will be solved.

It is gonna squat deep no matter what I do... it is an IRS and I refuse to put a drag type suspension on it. The car is currently on eibach pro springs, tokico struts, and huge sway bars.... much more of a road course car.
