I'd like to see them, just for reference. And correct me if I am wrong but it looks like a set of rod bolts exited the side of the block? Sorry about the carnage but as always with Power Adders, excellent reason to upgrade.
from 28 degrees, the stock rails are still in place. Wouldn't you think a piston would have failed if it was a fuel issue before a rod. It has stock pistons, and they have been notched for clearance. I'll get some pics of a few plugs posted a little later.

Factory powder metal rod is junk! They always "break," never "bend." If someone has a pic of a "bent" powder metal rod, I'd love to see it.

id rather have a rod that takes 550rwhp and breaks, then a rod that takes 400rwhp then bends.

either way its junk that trashes your motor if you exceed its limits, so i'll take the stronger one please.

Wrong. A bent rod doesn't take out a block most of the time. A rods that shatters will EVERY time. And who says a metal rod won't take 550rwhp?

ok, i'll say it diffrently.

if you're going to keep the stock rods, you need to stay within their limits.
id rather have a rod with higher limits..

on another engine where i have i choice in stock rods, i wouldnt put 550 thru GM pink rods, nor the PM rods
if i was building a motor, i wouldnt use any stock rods, so that doesnt matter anyway.

Yeah, we need a serious shop car anyway. I'll probably be contacting you for a direct port setup in the near future.

Damn Dave does DP install's? WHo knew

Looks like it is time to upgrade. I have seen the same thing happen on a blown Hummer we work on. Just flat exceded the limits around 700 or so fwhp I think the blower and a few covers were all that made it out alive!

Francis's car in this link has been running well over a 200 shot on a stock shortblock for a long time.
