Default What fuel system 402/n2o!!!!

Need some help guys!!! Want to know what are some of u guy with big motors that run nos doing for your fuel system. This is my problem I have a 402 with 38 lb injectors with stock fuel pump with a 255 inline pump. Im setup for a 200 shot wet, but right now i have tyhe fjo controller set at 45%. Made 2 passes checked plugs #1 plug melted top alittle. I think it went lean for split sec because the fuel sol is right there on fuel rail. Thinking about runnin a stand alone system foe the nos. Who makes a nice one.
Thanks guys

the stand alone will be your best bet. do a nice adj regulator, switch to a low psi system, and you can fine tune your car like crazy! add a little fuel, change each jet per cylender depending on your af ect ect. stand alone is great!

i made my own, very east to make and mount, jegs sells a nice 1 gallon, plus some custom cut lines, andyour golded. if you dont want to do that i know some vendors sell them>>>>>

nitrodave and harris speed works both make some very nice standalone units that do not require relocation of the battery.

the cell is like 100 bucks, pump is about the same, then its probably 100 bucks in hose and fittings. say 100 for other petty ****. so 300-500 depending how you do it.
its pretty straight forward, if your battery is gone, its extreamly easy to do.

The harris setup mounts on the side where the fuse boxes are, so if you haven't moved the batt, or kept up there and went with a LW one, you can go with that one as it mounts over there, nitro dave also has one that mounts on that side. I'd definately take that route as it will let you leave the other stuff alone. It's the route I personally plan to take when I get my junk together.

I'm in the same boat as you, but I have an in-tank 255 pump with a racetronix hotwire kit. Stand alone looks to be the ticket but I have a vette and limited places for it!

I have Nitro Daves stand alone that mounts by where the fuse boxes are. It works perfect, looks good, and now I am having trouble getting my A/F lean enough

Is it safe to assume that a stand alone system is only neccessary with a direct port system? East side just finished my 408 and I told them I planned on spraying a 200 shot. I don't want to jack the thread but any advise on a setup
for a victor jr in my 3rd gen would be great

On the Vetes, and prob the f-bods also, putting a return and reg at the rails and with your pump and the hotwire kit, 600rwhp is a piece of cake. Now if you want to bump that to 700+ on the spray just add a kenny Bell BAP. This is also cheaper than a pre made stand alone. Might be something to think about. I am running a '97 return and stock Walbro pump and harness in the 5xx/5xx area.

heh heh, ya didn't think it was gonna last long at the pace you/ve been running did ya?

Good times too in that tiny *** shot, gives me faith that if I can hit 10.70 on motor, I should be able to just kiss 9's on a 125 shot.
