Default Problems with Timing Tuner

I'm trying to configure my timing tuner and I'm getting nowhere.

Here's how I have everything wired:

1. The white wire from the timing tuner goes to the WOT switch.
2. The other wire from the WOT goes to my arming switch.
3. The gray wire from the timing tuner goes to my FPSS.
4. The other wire from the FPSS goes to ground.
5. Pin 87 on the relay give my solenoids power.
6. Pin 86 is wired into the wire with the WOT switch and white wire from the timing tuner.
7. Pin 30 on the relay is hot-wired directly to the battery.

Here's the thing. If I leave all of the switches at zero, the solenoids will activate with the car running. As soon as I attempt to set the upper rpm limit, the lights flash back and forth indicating that something is not connected right. I bypassed the FPSS and went straight to ground and tried every combination of turning the car on and hitting the WOT switch to no avail. Someone help me!

Another thing I just discovered. When the solenoids do open, by having all the switches set to zero, it's only for a second and then they snap back closed. I bypassed everything and just ran power and ground to the solenoids and they work properly. I'm thinking maybe the relay is bad and not allowing the system to ground properly. I guess I'll go pick up a new relay tomorrow and hope that it works.

And then you have it going to pin 85 on the relay right?

That is correct. From every diagram I can find, including the one that came with the timing tuner, I have everything wired correctly. I just can't figure it out.

Do you have a solid green led while the car is running (good crank signal)?
