Question Installing a Cold Fusion Wet Kit...

I am putting a Cold Fusion kit on a '01 Z on Sunday, the kit is brand new. Anything I need to know about ahead of time? I have done a few nitrous installs with NOS, TNT & NX kits. Anything different about the C.F. kits???

Thanks!

The kits are a pretty straight install. GL and let us know about it.

Metal lines or steel braided hoses?

He bought a "partial" kit from ebay, it is missing one of the braided lines, so he said C.F. sent him these steel lines to use. I have no idea, but I said I won't do it that way, he needs to get the proper braided line.

I couldnt use the 12" braided lines that come with the kit because of where I positioned the nozzle and solenoids so I had to buy 2 18" lines, just a thought for you.

I messed with it enough for today in my non A/C'd garage, it was 96* here today. I thought I could get the kit on w/ the digital MSD window switch in 4 hours. I am over budget...

Can anyone tell me the layout of the relay? There is a blue wire, a black, grey & dark grey...I am basically done, except for hooking everything to the relay...

Maybe this will help you,

I got my kit used so I got no instructions, switches, or relays. The colors you are describing look just like the only relay harness I got with my stuff. The posts on the relay will be numbered just like in the photo I got from the sticky on this forum, stick to that and you'll be safe. Not exact to your setup but you get the point.

[WS6HUMMER]

Thanks!!!

He is not using a FPSS though...Where does the 85 on the relay go? He is using the MSD digital window switch...Should the yellow wire go to 86 on the relay? I am also not sure what to hook the ACC on the toggle to at this point...

I just did all this a few months ago on my car, but I put the window switch in the glove box, covered all the wires and deleted all of my diagrams.

Is it the yellow wire that gives ground? I thought it was the gray wire, anyway the back of the W/S should tell you which does what. I had one but took it out when I got my timing tuner. Connect whichever wire supplies a ground @ the right RPM to post #85 on the solenoid relay. I would urge him to get A FPSS also, its very cheap peice of mind.

Yes I checked It's the Yellow wire on the MSD W/S that goes to post 85.

Yeah the Acc wire on the arm switch in the diagram goes to the WOT switch and from there to post 86 of the relay. When you arm the switch the power goes to the WOT switch and when it gets pressed it completes the circut and goes to post 86 energizing the relay.

Hmmm. On my kit, one of the leads from the WOT is grounded, the other goes to the relay.

That will work too as long as that lead coming from the WOT switch is wired to the relay post 85. It's just completing the ground circut.
