Default Halo nitrous ring

any opinions on it? my friend plans on running a 100 shot, definitly not more than a 125 on a stock motor.

I'm curious about the halo ring too. I'd like to see some dyno numbers.

the ring works awesome
i shot my car with a 150 dry shot and got 145hp to the wheels

the dyno was an awd dyno so the numbers were a more then a little off of a dynojet but basline was 360 N/A and with the shot it was 505
i went to a diff place the next day and put down 392 N/A so the shot would have been even better

i say the ring works quite well and it fogs out the whole lid so the maf has an easier job reading how much mor oxygen your throwing down its throat

Jerflash...I've been thinking about getting the halo ring as soon as my new rear end is done so it can take the hit (with nitrous 550+rwhp in a 6sp). I was wondering how it hits...is it a pretty smooth transition or does it still hit like a nozzle? which halo system do u have, the hidden or the other? how do u like it, like how does it fit and whatnot? what other mods do u have done to ur car like heads, cam, fuel, tranny, rear end, stuff like that or are u still stock?

jerflash: what do you have done to the car? you picked up way more power on the nitrous than i would have thought, i was guessing somewhere in the 120-135rwhp range on a 150 shot.

no, my friends got a 98 LS1 and he just bought a kit and was thinking about getting the halo ring. the 120-135 estimate basically came out of the scientific labratory called my ***, which has been known to be wrong a time or two

and no, the 89 formula in my sig is a TPI car

i have the halo set up in conjunction with one of daves Trick window switches set up to go off at 3000 and at WOT and for now only to shoot after first gear is done untill i get some 28" tires ...with the tq this thing puts out i need them with the 410s i have in my 12bolt. since the halo fogs out the whole box it it hits just right. i have never felt a nozzle hit but this thing hits nice

i have full suspension on my car with hals all around with hal springs up front, body mount TA, Panhard, LCA w/brakets, !front swaybar, skinnies up front, and airbags going in soon...i pull the wheels at the track without the shot and on MT ETstreet radials 255/50/16. On the street with this set up i cant spin the tires in first (from a roll) even with 385 TQ going to the rear through 410s. but when this thing hits its blazes first and second

i made up my own Hidden system using parts from everywhere and utilzing daves halo ring and window switch. dave has asked me to be in the rides section of his site so you will see some pics of my system up as soon as im able to send them to him.

the halo ring is one of the trickest things i have seen for nitrous and fits and function are both awesome.

i have a forged nitrous ready motor with 2cc releifs in the pistons, totaly stock heads with a thick mls gasket(about 9.5to1 ratio), f13 cam from futral, rockland built and blueprintedT56, moser 12 both with 4.10s and i told you about the suspension....i need some heads

i miss my 89 tpi

was worth a try right?? lol

hmm good to know you picked up that much power on a cam like that. i guess we should be able to see 90-95rwhp out of a 100 shot, i like the way that sounds
