Default Purge silinoid problems!! Need help quickly!!

Well when I press my purge button, the purge silinoid will click but the nitrous wouldn't come out! So I did some messing around with it and when I would turn the bottle off and let most of the pressure out of the line (by venting the line through twisting the line conection to the bottle)...........then some times the silinoid would click all the way and let the nitrous purge.

When the bottle is all the way open and I press the purge button the noid will click but, just barely.......almost as if its hung up and won't completely open (its a faint click not a loud click). If I vent the line and then click the purge button the noid clicks much louder like its fully engaging!

I have the lightning NX silinoids........has anyone had any problems with them?

Does anyone have any idea what may be the issue here? I'm thinking the noid is bad and just can't handle high pressure.

Oh, and I have a wet system which is getting tuned tomorrow. Will it be bad If i go to get it tuned and can't purge the line? I ask because it I can't purge the line the fuel will spray until the nitrous catches up due to the air in the line. That is bad isn't it??

I'm

I called NX thinking that I had that problem, somebody told me that is a problem with the bolt on the top. to replace with another size or something like that, is something you can get at autoparts very simple but give them a call cuz I didnt understand what size or bolt exactly, my problem at the end was something different. Bottle press

Yea, it's a known issue with some NX noids, bottle pressure. how high did pressure get today in the sun? Maybe NX Ricky will chime in as he has explained this before. You can still tune without the purge, you'll just be rich for a micro second. Or you can purge before run/logging by just blipping the throttle wide open, it only takes a micro second to purge into motor.

It got up to about 1000-1050 all by itlself (sun). Well at least that's what it was when it was having those issues!

I just got done taking it off the best I could and checked it out. I then put it back and its purging like it did the first time you and I hooked it up. Then again it has since cooled off and the bottle pressure is at 900psi.

So I don't know what exactly the issue is.......whether its the noid or the bottle pressure.

So you don't think that millisecond or so will be an issue? I'm guessing now that the purge is mainly to help reduce your ET a bit?

At first I thought it was paramount to have for a wet kit to ensure you keep the nitrous and fuel spraying into the intake at the same time..........not the fuel then nitrous (as it would if there were air in the line).

Robert, BTW while I was messing with the purge noid I noticed that the main fuel line going to the noid from the fuel rail had a little fuel leak! After further inspection I found the end caps that go over the braided line (the one I told you about from Austin's Pro Max) was the problem. The original line that came with the kit turned out to fit fine once I turned the fuel rail the oposite way allowing the line to stretch to it. I didn't really like the concept of Pro Max's line ends anyway.

Well thanks to everyone who posted up! I'll post back if I find out any other information or can pinpoint the issue a little better.
