NOS 5177 kit advice
I have a 1999 Z28 that I bought used, at ~85k miles. It had 2 previous owners: one was a private owner, and the other it was part of a fleet for a business. It has given me no problems, and has run great for the ~4k miles I have had it (I've had the car about a year, or so.) It is my daily driver, and my only mode of transportation (fortunately, my job is rather close, but my college is not). I can't really afford to have the car go out of commission, I don't have the real estate to take apart the engine if something does go wrong, but I'm searching for that little extra bit of 'oomph' to add. My performance mods are in my sig, prettymuch just shorties and an exhaust.
Now, to my point. Normally, I wouldn't consider N2O, since it's not my ideal way to make power. But, here in CA, there's just not much I can do. I found a seller that I can get a NOS 5177 kit at a good price. It has everything included, including a WOT switch, FPSS, arming switch, and a window switch. Now, I don't have a wideband O2 sensor, I have the stock fuel pump, and the stock injectors. I would want to run a 75 shot, but want to be as safe as possible. Is there anyone here who could help me with some suggestions? Should I get a new fuel pump, or perhaps a wideband with a dynotune A/F shutoff switch? Are there any precautions I can take, to prevent some catastrophic failure, such as a solenoid getting stuck open?
This being my one and only mode of transportation, I'm rather paranoid, and would love for anyone to help with suggestions.
Thanks to anyone who takes the time to read this, and even more to those who reply.

Do you know of anyone who has hurt the engine using this kit, personally?
EDIT: It seems as though there are precautions for all sorts of fuel system failures, including the window switch (over-rev protection) and the FPSS. However, is there a way to cut the nitrous supply in case of a stuck open solenoid? That seems to be the only risk I can forsee that hasn't been accounted for by the other safety precautions.

Any ideas about an automatic cutoff, in case of a stuck noid? Something like a simple gate, or valve, in the feed line. Have it read the A/F, and automatically close the gate if the engine starts to run lean, or at a set A/F. I haven't seen anything like that, has anyone else?

Perhaps when I have a second vehicle I'll look for a nice little kit for that extra oomph, but now is just the wrong time.
Thanks for all your help, everyone!
