Default Nitrous Aficionados, Figure this one out?

Ok, here is a unique nitrous problem. When I am purging it causes the traction control to scroll through, Traction control on, Traction control off and then back to Competive driving. This is driving me crazy. They are totaly seperate wiring? A couple times when purging before launch, it hasn't cycled through and back tp comp mode, and I end up leaving with traction control on, and then a pursuing bog/lurch. It's going to cause a breakage. Anyone ever hear of a similar problem? Any insight?

I am not a Nitrous Aficionados, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Select for Crew change...

Sure you did not tap into the same + or ground source as your Traction control (LapTrax) unit ???

Sounds like when Purging the ground is completed on the Laptrax and switches mode on ya?

Nope, using the same 12v switched source as my other five sws. This in turn activates a relay for power to purge noid. Was working fine. Had a shop rebleed my clutch and they had to pull center console and sw panel. Then when leaving i first noticed a po449 code, which I still have not resolved. So, what they did really I don't know? they should have not rewired anything, and I have looked at the wiring at sw panel and it seems normal to way it was, this is what makes no sense? They are two totally seperate systems, as far I as I can tell or know and should not be inter connected this way?

I don't know, it's just a matter of unplugging and replugging to get console out, and plug only goes one way?

Most weird electrical problems always stem from a lose or bad ground. Current will seek the path of least resistance.

You may be on to something. here's why, in my vette motor manual the diagnostics on the po449 code point towards a bad ground coming from the pcm. The charcol canister valve has power to it all times, and when time to purge canister the pcm sends a ground. I have replaced the valve and still get code (next step is a PCM replacement as per chev), and this process has been verified by the NW chev dealer mechanic. I wonder if these two problems are related ie: a ground issue, maybe the same ground is loose? Thus the TC is seeking the ground from the purge? How I am not sure, but...

Is the outlet of the purge hitting anything? Before I finished the purge install on my car we had the purge lines just coming straight out of the solenoid, no bends in the tube. When we tested it the ABS light would come on. We figured out that the nitrous hitting the master cylinder was causing it, bent the line to where we wanted then and it never happened again. Just something to check.

I think I found it. Bottle pressure and heat. I have been bringing my pressure up a bit, and it's been hot. I noticed at first my purge worked fine, then with car running and heating engine compartment and b/p going up the performance was falling off. then the scrolling through the t/c started. Then noid quit opening all together and the scrolling issue continued. So, I decided to try another brand purge noid, and at first man it plummed great. but, I kept turning it on and off, and yes performance fell off and scrolling of t/c began. So, I think once the resistance goes way up and noid clicks, but dosen't open, some sort of ground issue is happening and thus affecting t/c control?

Could be a ground issue.....Where are you grounding the switch panel? Is it remotely close to a PCM ground? It could also be a weak battery.....

Since the laptrax, console switches, and traction control are all in the center console area, check for piched wires from a console re-install.

just food for thought, my purge switch was behind the a/c vent and after some time in the florida heat and a/c on ice, the condensation "hotwired" the switch and caused it to overload. so what im getting at is maye some water or moisture going into that area of wiring and its ******* up your grounds and or power wires.
