Default Tell me what I did wrong.

Well I went to an 8th mile this weekend made a few passes, and then on my second day I decided I would do a time trial with some nitrous. So I put in some 100hp jets (NX wet MAF) armed the system, purged the line, had the car stalled up to 2000rpm at the lights, turned green, i floored it, and the car stood up, then fell flat on its face. Just stoped dead right there. It didnt stall, it just didnt move. I tried to hammer it again just to get going, no go. So I part throttled it and I made my way down the track and back into the return lane.

Here's some info on what I got, TR6's .035 gap, WOT switch, Harlan window switch, I forget where I set the rpm's to start and stop (did it last year) and the jets were 52 for n2o and 28 for fuel. I also used HPTuners to retard the timming 3* from like 3500rpm to redline, and .44g and up.

I had also just gotten low on gas, so I borrowed a gallon of leaded race fuel from another racer.

Any input??

Sounds like the classic "all fuel no nitrous" run. Are you sure the bottle is still full? You cant go by pressure...you really need to weigh it. I cant tell you how many times people thought the botle would last longer than they though and ended up spraying just fuel.

I do know the bottle is full, I got it filled and never used it once. However, I also did just add a larger fuel pump, and my fuel pressure is up around 65psi, so maybe my fuel jets should be smaller now...

and leaded fuel isnt good for O2 sensors, so if you're tuning with em you might want to double check everything

I agree. They can really **** up your 02 sensors. You may want to check them now to ensure your getting the correct reading out of them. Leaded gas isn't the way to go on these cars.

I don't think that would contribute to your problem though. It sounds to me like your nitrous noid isn't opening and the fuel one is! Not too sure though.

I second the fuel only, but i did have mine stall like that on my dry shot cause the bottle pressure was way to high around 1400psi

Yeh, I didnt think the leaded fuel had anything to do with it, but i figured id mention it.

Altho I did test my solenoids and they both open when I bypass everything at the relay... I doubt my bottle pressure was very high at all, it sits inside the car in the shade. Come to think of it, I think that may be the major issue, the last time I sprayed, I had just gotten the bottle filled, so it was extremely warm & I had like 1200psi.

Now from it sitting in the shade it was probably way below that, and therefor spraying mostly gas eh. Im grasping at straws, i dunno lol.

i really dont think that the leaded fuel has any effect on the car at WOT.(since the 02's arent even reading at WOT)

low bottle pressure and too much fuel will cause what happened.

I dont think so, I run the same size jets with 28* total timing, have the same fuel pressure (racetronix pump kit), and have an AFR of 10.2-10.8 on the spray @950 PSI in the bottle. If you run no more than 950 PSI you technically can go to a .027 fuel jet but just be careful to keep an eye on the bottle pressure. I use this calculator

Leaded fuel will destroy those sensors though...
