-Settle something once and for all-
Can you guys tell me how long you have been using nitrous on your car, especially if its stock, being as mine is stock.
Also if anyone has any "horror stories" can you please share them.
Also if it matters im only going to be using nitrous on the street and maybe every now and then at the track.
Of course it Doesn't! Why would everyone do it if that was the case! Please do a search and/or read the stickies.
anyway, have fun on the bottle if you do decide to go that way, but be warned, you wont be able to stop!

150 shot will start to wear out the tranny or clutch but the motor will handle it just fine .
My stock bottom end , cam only motor held up just fine on a 200 shot but i had to step up to a stronger tranny.
Research and knowlage is the key to using nitrous safely .
There would be no after market industry if Lunati , comp , Calies or the other hundred companies out there didnt make better parts than the stock ones .
We buy forged pistons , billet piston rods , hardened pushrods and forged cranks because stock factory parts cant handle our demands .

i will probably never see it on my car... it's hard enough to afford all the supporting parts for n/a horsepower! but i do get tempted from time to time.
i have done a lot of searching and research, and have found that if correctly set-up, it can give years of performance and fun. some even have claims of it cleaning up there high mileage motors by dusting off the tops of their pitons and swelling 'em up on every "hit"! HAHA!
I started spraying my last motor at 50k miles and i finaly took it off the road at 108k hard miles and built a bigger motor .
The old block is sitting at the shop and its just fine and ready to be rebuilt .
