-Settle something once and for all- Ok im getting mixed answers about nitrous...some people tell me it completely destroys your motor while people on here swear by it. If used with all the safety equipment can you motor be harmed?
Can you guys tell me how long you have been using nitrous on your car, especially if its stock, being as mine is stock.
Also if anyone has any "horror stories" can you please share them.
Also if it matters im only going to be using nitrous on the street and maybe every now and then at the track.

read up on this part of the forum there's always good and bad story no matter what. yes you can be safe with it but there's always something that can go wrong with any power adder. read and learn.
It completely destroys your motor the first time you try it. I get a new motor every time I fill my bottle.

Misconception...Nitrous somehow got labeled as some great destroyer of engines...probably the same reason its considered "cheating" haha. Of course there is a risk, But, if sprayed correctly and coreect safety equipment is used, then nitrous can be very adventageouos and fun...especially that torque 
anyway, have fun on the bottle if you do decide to go that way, but be warned, you wont be able to stop!

too all who said READ...i have been reading up on Nitrous for the past year or so...my question i want answered is this...Is it hard on your motor? and does it cause additional wear and tear on your motor?

I plan on purchasing a TNT F1 kit and upgrading my FP and spraying 150-175 on stock components, then probably upgrading the fuel rails and the injectors and spraying 200-250 (sell the F1 and buy an F2)
You can spray a 100 shot on the car all day long if its setup right and not hurt anything cept the tires .
150 shot will start to wear out the tranny or clutch but the motor will handle it just fine .
My stock bottom end , cam only motor held up just fine on a 200 shot but i had to step up to a stronger tranny.
Research and knowlage is the key to using nitrous safely .

nitrous is like a hot girl with an STD....you want to hit it, but your afraid of the consequences. but once you hit it, you are screwed. WHY?................because you keep going back for more and more.
Bottom line, performance parts are not meant to last or fit as perfect as factory one's, everytiime you change something on a vehicle you must upgrade other components as well. Nitrous is Nitrous, take all your safety steps, and you will minimize the wear and tear on your motor, I would suggest to stay with a wet kit and make sure your A/F mixture is correct. Our motors can handle the juice rather well, I would not spray below 2700 rpms and run nothing higher than a 125shot, some members run higher and some run lower, also do not push it, the juice can either really help you or destroy you. Also make sure you read some of those horror stories on Nitrous Closely, alot of times not all safety steps were taken,and corners were cut, that's when you have problems, I had a buddy shift from fourth to third instead of fourth to fifth, and yes, he blew up the motor, stuff happens. There would be no after market industry if Lunati , comp , Calies or the other hundred companies out there didnt make better parts than the stock ones .
We buy forged pistons , billet piston rods , hardened pushrods and forged cranks because stock factory parts cant handle our demands .

the clutch for the m6 guys and your wallet if you are addicted enough!

Its true , if you hear a funny noise in the engine/drivetrain , spray the **** out of it and it goes away ,, hahaha
I started spraying my last motor at 50k miles and i finaly took it off the road at 108k hard miles and built a bigger motor .
The old block is sitting at the shop and its just fine and ready to be rebuilt .
