Default spark plugs- tr55 or tr6 if i plan on nitrous down the road

Im about to buy lts and a y, so while i had all that out of my car i figured i would change my plugs to make it easier. I havent changed them in the 11k ive had my car because im scared of trying.. ive heard its a PITA.

so my question is:

I anticipate buying about a 100 shot down the road.. maybe 6months, maybe a year, maybe not..

would it be a good idea to go ahead and put tr6's in, and at what gap, or shoudl i just run tr55s?

Changing plugs on an LS1 is easy. Just slap the TR6s in there now if you're going to spray later.

Ever change them on an LT1? I have & doing it on my LS1 is a PLEASURE.

TR6'ss!!! They are great plugs and just a step or two colder than tr5's. They spark great. Just make sure if your are planning on spraying gap them between /038-.040*. Anything over could possibly need a few degrees timing taken out.

You Know I learned a VALUABLE leasson last week. Use ONLY good racing plugg's if you are going to play hard HAD I been running NGK's I would have a dead piston in number eight right now.

GOOD thing I was running Autolite AR94s! Number eight went lean and the copper plug slowly melted it self not hurting a thing saving the engine! Re-jettrd Number eight and stuffed AR93s back in her and upped the shot to a full 200 and let her ripp!

Four N2O Dyno Pull's and four full N2O pass's later all looks great !

I would bag the NGKs and get a set of Autolite AR94s

With a 100 shot TR-6 plugs are fine. There are better plugs when you go REAL big..

One of the reasons I changed was better street maners. I have ran NGKs for 15-20 years on the street. Never even though twice about it. Now that I can see the effect on the Dyno and on the street I have noticed my car run's cleaner with the AR plug's in it

BTW the plug got melted on a small 150 shot

I run AC Delco Iridiums and they are great.

But then again, I don't spray
