Default any benefit to shooting blanks?

when you run out of nitrous and still have air in there, is there any benefit to shooting that air to your intake?
i mean its still air so the engine is taking in more air, wouldnt it be like a ram air effect almost?
maybe its not noticeable but just wondering...

you will be running excessively rich with a wet shot and probably rich on a dry shot as well, no it will slow you down.

He's right, if you have a wet kit the car will have a very noticable bog if you fire your system with no nitrous. Going too rich can do just as much damage as going too lean.

Shooting it blank with a dry shot will not cause any considerable boost in power, other than your "ram" air effect as described. Maybe MAYBE a 1hp increase.. just dont ever shoot straight oxygen into your motor.. asking for a fire there.
