Default Need help finding good wideband!!!!

I need a wideband............or basically just something to monitor my A/F. I don't want to spend $550 on a wideband commander kit either. I'm hoping I can just get a cable to go to my 02 bung and hook it to the gauge which I plan on mounting in an A-piller gauge.

Can anyone give me some guidance? $500 is alot to spend on that crap!

What is everyone else using??

If you want to use a wideband with a gauge, I would suggest the LC1/XD16 combo. I sell a lot of them to FI guys and they love them. If you are interested in pricing, please PM and I can get you a deal on it.

Having a wide band is good, but having one that records is where its at. I recently bought a LM1 from Dynotune, and can't say enough good things about it. You can't possibly watch it close enough during a run, and remember it all. Once recorded, I can can look at the charts all I want. Its especially nice for keeping an eye on lean spikes.

I guess your right!! But how can you check the run after its recorded?

And is there a cheaper alternative to the $550 wideband kit from dynotune?

Well sort of...

This is the Bare bones that has Logworks (So you will need a laptop). You can record AFR only logs, but its not referenced off anything (like RPM).

This will interface with HPT or EFI Live as it sits, you just need the Scanning/Tuning software. I am really loving the EFI Live Scan Wideband logging ability. As you know this is how I found out I was maxing the injectors out.

Talk with Dean and Dan @ DynoTune or Chad at GLMS, they all helped me out. If you want to log RPM vs AFR ask them what all you will need.

Chad likely can hook you up with EFI Live commercial (or just Scan) and the LC-1 for a special price if your in the market for your own logging/tuning software.

Dean and Dan can give ya a good deal on the LC-1 and gauge combo.

The hard core guys do run dual widebands (I have met a few since I started learning EFI Tuning). I will stay with one for now. But that does bring up a good point.

Next time I am on the dyno testing, the dyno sniffer will be on the other side (after the first run and a WB vs Dyno O2 comparision is done).
