Default Should the nitro dave plate system make a noise?

Yeah I have the plate system and it seems to make a kinda whistling noise under accelartion when I am not spraying the nitrous. Anyone else have this? Is this normal? Thanks.

I would check the intake track, and make sure everything is tight, the air duct, air coupler, the air filter etc...did you torque the throttle body bolts correctly? Does it run ok and the whistle is present or is running crappy (like a vaccum leak?).

Make sure the air coupler was trimmed to reflect the distance shortened by the addition of the plate. Also make sure it is sealed around the throttle body (feel it all the way around it, it may look ok from the top, but the bottom may be screwed up).

How much should you torque the throttle body bolts to?

Mine sings a little. It's kinda like a tuning fork under acceleration in higher gears. Doesn't bother me though.

mine does it through the midrange and only under civilized driving. assumed it was normal as the incomming air passed over the nitrous/fuel ports in the plate.(like a whistle) also thought it was my waterpump bearing going out for a little bit as thats got a small leak that i cant seem to find and need to replace.

I have never really payed attention to that. But it does make since that it may whistle allittle.I have heard that with throttle body spacers in the past also.
Its probley the air cutting across the discharge holes.

My Trailblazer does it also. It does it when mainly when I lug motor at low RPMs. I thought it was my PCV valve going bad..

Check for air leaks, if all is tight and sealed just might be air harmoics. Now since yall moved the t-body foward and have a larger plenium you might just be hearing the air ressants and X rpm.
Call it the "Nitro Daves musical nitrous plate". lol

Now if you can make it have different sounds during the WOT pass, and let the customer pic which one he wants. now you have something.
