Default Found my wot issue finally!!!!

Well, I kind of forgot that I had put ported MAF ends on the car a couple years ago and didn't really think anything of it cuz it's never been a problem before, but I guess with the 90/90 it now was, cuz I took the ported ends off this weekend and put a set of stock ends on and bam, she's not droppin out of open loop at wot anymore! So now I just gotta work out the rest of the tune, she's pig rich at part throttle and she's havin some idling issues, and I still gotta lean out wot a bit, cuz I had made it pig rich when I was having the wot issue thinkin maybe it was leanin out and causing the problem. But i'm just excited that the car is finally startin to come around again and figured i'd give you guys an update on what the problem actually was!!!!!

Yeah, the best she went in good weather on motor was a 10.95 @ 124.5, and in this weather we have right now she's usually 11.3's @ 122.5, so i'm hopin for 10's at 124 - 125 even in this heat now and a little better in good weather and when the new nitrous setup goes on, i'm gonna start out at the 300 shot it was on and see where she's at, and then i'm gonna up her to 400 and try for 8's in some good weather!

Do it, u'll love and you really don't have to start worrying about **** till you start pushin 400+, the 300 gave me no issues, tried goin 350 and that's when I had problems, but it was distribution problem from runnin it all through the throttle body (tnt and dry), so I think she'll be ok on the 400 with the dual direct port when I eventually get the money together for it!

K, cuz I was a little worried about descreening it now after what was happening with the ported ones! But I can already see she picked up some power, I still don't have her tuned in fully yet, but I tested the t-brake last night and she used to go to around 3800, last night she went right too 4000, so she had to pick up some power from the intake and tb.

Good to hear Devon. When are you going to be at BMP again? You should come up on the 28th for the TRack event.

Yeah, I heard not to go to the 85mm maf's, but I didn't think ported ends would mess it up, but I got them like over 2 years ago and pretty much forgot I had them for a while there, haha, and they never affected it like this before the 90/90. So stock maf for me it is!

Devon, glad you found your gremlin. Now on to the 8.xx run and 1st place on the list. Are you buying Noyzee's intake/nitrous set-up?

Nah, we've been in our slow time for the last couple months, so i'm doin everything at a slower pace, gonna be all motor for a little till we start pickin up again and I can get the extra cash together for a direct port on the fast I just put on. I traded my ls6 intake and ported throttle body for a brand new nick williams 90mm tb that one of my buddies had layin around (long story, but he got screwed by ffhp and is puttin his car back to stock and never got to put the nw on), and one of my buddies works for lethal performance and hooked me up with a killer deal on the fast 90, so after sellin my tnt kit and my dry kit, I really didn't have to out of pocket anything for the 90/90 setup, and we're startin to pick up a little at work again, so hopefully soon I can get some money set aside for the direct port, gonna have dave do a nice setup for me, already talked to him about it, just gotta put the cash together. I'm hopin I can get it all done before our dead hookers 2 event at bmp on dec 9th and hopefully find that 8 second pass! But in the meantime i'm gonna see what she can do on motor. Now that the wot issue is resolved, i'm makin progress, got the part throttle pretty perfect tonight, just gotta get some miles on her and see if anything changes and make adjustments from there if need be, and i'm still having some idling issues and havin a hell of a time workin those out! She decides after gettin on it or even just revin her up high and lettin off when she's warmed up that she wants to raise her idle, wonderin if it's something with the tb though, cuz when it does it, the tps reads 1.6 instead of .4 or .8 and the ftc goes to 9 instead of 19 and it never comes back down unless I shut the car off. Any known issues with the NW holdin open for any reason? I tied adjusting the throttle screw when it happens, but then when the car is cold again and normal it doesn't wanna idle cuz the screw is shut too much.

Devon, if you don't mind me asking, and i don't know if it was solid throughout the rpm range or you got to dial it in really well, but how much timing were you running on that large of a shot.

right now i'm at 24 across the board(haven't had time to dial in everything) and that's setup for the 200 shot. are you alot lower than that? (mix of 104 and 93)

What kind of compression are you running, i'm at 11.3:1 and with 93 in the main tank and 112 in the standalone I was running 20 degrees on the 300 shot. Before I got the standalone, I was still running 20 with mix 104/93 in the regular tank, but figured since I have the standalone may as well throw higher octane fuel in it just to be safe and 112 is the highest they have at the pump at bmp. On the 200 shot I was running either 22 or 24 degrees (can't remember which one) on straight 93.

same compression.

seems to be pretty similar then for what i was seeing in just a rough tune on the 200 shot then. Just been playing around with the 100 shot as of right now for fun. Still need to finish up my standalone.
