Default A4 wont shift fast when N2O is on

Car wont shift fast when spraying 150 and up.. I hit the gas and at WOT nitrous goes in, so rpm goes up fast and it hits like 6k or 6500 but then it doesnt shift, like it goes up to fast that it stays there for long then it shifts, and car makes a loud noise after hitting 6500 rpm so, I dont want to blow one of the intake lines everytime that happens. I dont have money now for a tune so what can I do or buy? cuz my number are not accurate at all having that problem, and traction is a bitch too

Is it a stock tranny? Sounds like you are destroying it. I wouldn't spray it through the shifts anymore if you want that thing to last much longer.

Your best bet would be to put in a window switch. This will turn the nitrous off during the shifts to save the tranny that abuse of trying to shift under full power. Beyond that, you are most likely pissing your money away if the tranny is going to stay stock. Shift kits will help a little, you could tune some of it out I guess, but in the end the stock trannies just aren't up to the task for very long in most cases. Hope this helps!

if that doesnt work , you could be cheap like me and buy a used hypertech just to change the shift points, that way you are telling it to shift earlier and faster. Just a thought......but it worked for me, since i am too cheap to buy a real tuning system.

Oh no no, Im sorry what I meant is that I have a TPS so it doesnt spray in the shifts but you know from 3k to 6k rpm goes fine but after that theres no nitros but it wont shift still , takes too long. Talking about that stock tranny, wich one would be a good one? most for track than street is my car.
thanx

It sounds like the tranny may be ready to go. Loud noises when it is suppose to shift is really bad. I would upgrade it, or have someone inspect it asap. And you should look into a progressive nitrous controller for the traction issues. It helps alot, and doesnt put as much stress on the engine
