Default Nitrous Pressure regulator pics from ZEX. Anyone like it?

Cost is roughly $315 when I called for info. It's brand new and I've yet to see it in person. I'm not sure why we run without one when bottle AND fuel pressure are so critical in the tune. Anyone have one yet? Any thoughts? It says it can flow 500hp worth with no real flow loss, etc, etc. Looks like a good way to save nitrous because of an overheated bottle. I nearly bought it but I didn't want to be a pioneer on this one...haha

I saw that too. It certainly looks interesting. If it works as well as it says it does, then it will be a popular item pretty quick.
But I don't want to be a guinnie-pig either.

Nitrous Direct/CF has one also. We sell it for the bikes currently
as it's good for 200hp.
A bottle blanket and a heater is all you really need. The drag
bikes are a little different (heat soak) and
I can see the need there.

Any idea how much HP could be lost by a 50-100PSI drop? Ever do any testing? How much does it affect A/F?

Exact figures, not sure, but I do know running a dry hit that extra 50/100 does make a difference in your ET if you want to run consistant, ie: Bracket Racing. That's why I use manual control over heating of my bottle to keep the same pressure everytime. On the dry your a/f will stay stable, on a wet it will lean out a tad bit, which could make ya faster as long as you weren't allready running a leanish tune which then could cause issues.

Like Robert said on motorcycles I could see this working. In their case bottle capacity is a major issue as they go up in the HP. But on cars a 10 or 15 pound bottle should be more than enough to maintain a constant pressure on jettings up to the limit of the smaller regulator. And according to Dave Koehler who did extensive testing on these regulators the smaller of the 2 is the only one that he could get to work.
