Iron 408 Nitrous Limits

Iron 408 Nitrous Limits
Right now I have a LME Iron 408 with the usual forged internals (eagle crank, callies compstar rods, wiesco custom nitrous pistons). I just installed a direct port set up with a progressive controller and just wondering how much this bottom end should hold with the proper tune. Any suggestions would be aprreciated.

I'm sure LME built a great motor but you really should be asking them. In almost all cases a well built bottom end on these motors is not the issue, the clamping force of the heads are.

what advice do you give inorder to keep the heads well in place?

Back to the first post question - I'd agree that a 300 hit is a good target number for most well built nitrous LSx motors.
Pewter - If you asking about up to a 300 shot, a set of ARPs will ususally work fine.

It has the hell fire rings and it was built for nitrous. I have asked bryan and he said 300 should be fine I just want a second opinion because I am getting ready to spray a 300 shot and need to settle my nerves a little before I let it eat.

I have an iron 412. I should be on the dyno in the next couple of weeks. 300 on each stage. 2 stages on a motor that already makes 600 to the tires. Should go pretty fast if it holds. Dart heads with 1/2 in head studs and cometic gaskets. Shooting for 1K+rwhp

I watch buddy's car spray 350+ on 402 Aluminum block at least twice a week. Eagle crank, callies H beam's, diamond pistons with dropped ring landing. Car made 844rwhp and it is also a DD. He is spraying the Direct port NX kit. Using the 350 pills he picked up 341rwhp
