Boltons + Cam + Nitrous + Stock Bottom End?!
How many guys are running decent sized cams and nitrous?
I'm talking like the TSP 233/239 Cam. Something that'll make about 400whp and 370wtq n/a or in that area along with a 100-150 Shot of nitrous.
All this done on a stock bottom end... i'm trying to find the breaking point on the LS1 stock bottom end. Right now the car has 58k on clock... figure 75k on clock when the Cam goes in... meanwhile the gap from 58k to 75k will have nitrous use. Nothing crazy since i'm kind of a bitch. haha

If the set up is dialed in you should have plenty of room to play. 150 shot shouldn't be a problem at all. If done right you can probrably get away with a set up that peaks at about a 250hp shot and still have the bottom end last for awhile.
Seems that most people break the rod bolts in the 700-720hp range at the crank. Of course, there is alot that can go wrong even before you get to that point. Do your homework on tuning.

Quite a few spray on head/cam combos with the stock bottom end (and making well over 600 to the rear). How much you spray will somewhat determine the life of the motor, but if everything is set up correctly with no problems (fuel system, tune and so on) 550 to the rear wheels shouldn't be a problem.

i have a F13 cam, made 385rwhp on a n2o tune, N/A tune made 416rwhp. On a 150 I make close to 550rwhp on a stock bottom end and take it to 7100RPMs with 103K on the clock

That's awesome! I have been seeing that people do it... but just wanted some peoples opinion direct.
Because I just LOVE n/a power because I was raised on that type of crap. But since i'm not a rich bastard... haha I need to budget my power. Nitrous seems like a good starting point, then the TSP cam or something a tad larger. I'm not sure yet... thanks everyone!
