Default Nitrous + Gears

I was reading in a magazine and it had a big thing about nitrous. It mentioned something about gears+ nitrous. but didnt go into detail. i was wondering if 4-11 gears with nitrous a bad idea. Do i have to do any thing special to the motor or computer. or does it matter at all.

2002 ws6
6 speed
lid/exhaust
I just bought a nx express wet kit 100 shot. and im just making sure i cover everything.

nothing special to motor or computer unless you spray over 150shot. i have 4.11's and a 150 shot,on a 26'' slick. my rev limiter is at 7,200rpm's and that is how i can do it. if you have a stock rev the 3.42's or 3.73's will be a better choice for you so you don't run out of gear at the end. nitrous like to pull,so with the higher(lower # gear 3.42 3.73)the car will go faster on the hose.

I wouldn't suggest launching out of the hole on a 10 bolt

just out of curiosity, what do you trap with your 4.11's on spray? I assume your finishing in 4th?

http://www.f-body.org/gears/

Gearing for a T-56 6speed
1st 2.66
2nd 1.78
3rd 1.30
4th 1.00
5th 0.74
6th 0.50

Useing the calculator above I get

25.66 '' [ 275/40/17's ] / 4.11's / 4th 1.00 6200rpm 115mph , 6500rpm 121mph

something like a M&H 325/45/17 Drag radial will have a 28.5'' height same 4.11's in 4th at 6200rpm 128mph , 6500rpm 134mph

So being that I still have my 3.23's in the rear, i would be faster on the bottle then if I had a numerically higher gear?. This is with a m6 btw.

numerically higher gears will be quicker , need more mph , install taller tires or rev it out till

Why not go to a 28" tall tire to keep you from runing out of gear? Thats what I did.

i had 26in tall MT DRs and was running outta gear with the 3.90s and my A4. I switched to 26in tall MT ET Drags and am nowhere close to running outta gear on the 150shot. The radial tires dont grow and the slicks do therefor bringing down the rpm. My suggestion if your running out on 26in is just go switch tire types or go to 28s but you might have to mess with the fenders.
