progressive vs two stage
I like the multi staging myself. I just don't like the idea of beating the hell out of my noids. Think of it this way, a single progressive run puts as much wear/tear on the noids as one or two seasons of racing a multi stage.

I prefer 2 stages over a progressive controller without a doubt. Its real nice with the digital 2 stage window switch. That gives you some traction tuning ability besides jet changes.

Ive run 2 stage kits and my current setup is a direct port with the maximizer. Im looking into a plate kit for a first stage. I would much rather have 2 stages than progressive.
I say progressive IMO. I'm not too worried about wear and tear on the noids because I rebuild them from time to time anyway and as far as the coil on the noids going out,... I don't see them going out too often.
whats the cost on a noid rebuild. what exactly do you rebuild? thanks for the post, 2 stage is winning which i figured. anyone who breaks a fuel noid and blows a motor know what im talking about.
I wonder how if the people that voted progressive have ever really had one or are voting on what they FEEL will work best. I think in theory they sound great, it just doesnt work out that way. IMHO

cjg454ss a lot of nitrous companys have lifetime warrenties on there niods. Some consider rebuilding the noid to prevent problems later as part of that warrenty. If you choose to go progressive talk to the company you are buying the kit from and make sure that they will do this for you and that you can do it every season. I have a feeling that if oyu talk to some of the sponsers here they will hook you up. As for my opinion on progressive or staged i say both

With the technology in the progressive controller and solenoids these days there are a bunch of dual stage guys switching to a progressive. You can get more adjustability when you use a progressive or you can spray the entire hit at once. Either will work for you but ( Personally ) I would go with a progressive Controller.

You will mph better with 2 kits but you might et better with a progressive .
On a 1/4 mile track, it is a toss up between the 2 but on the street 2 kits are better hands down imo.

yeah i have a nice nos kit, with the big noids up to a 400 shot. im thinking about just running a 125 first 125 second. the car make 440 rwhp na so the odds of needing to hit it with a 250 are slim. the 125 should hold many off and just in case ill have the 125 second. im thinking for track purposes no juice in 1st, second 125 shot, third gear, 250. each gear will pull harder and harder.

Thats one person that voted for progressive that actualy has one. Out of how many that voted? I personaly dont care for my single stage maximizer. I bought it and wasnt even done installing it when they released the maximizer 2. maybe if Dave had given me a heads up that the new one was on the way i would have the new model. Maybe the upgrades of the maximizer2 would allow the unit to perfom at an exceptable level. At this point I am going to remove the maximizer this winter and am looking at the dynotune 2 stage window switch. Just my opinion
