definately helps hold the heat in and disperse more even heating over the bottle surface

A good bottle blanket makes a huge difference in keeping the cold out and the heat in. It also does a good job of kepping the sun off the bottle during the summer.

Sure, absolutely. I have a blanket over each bottle, and each bottle has a heater.
