if you want 9's you gotta pay for the safety that goes with it, i know i dont want to be flippin down the track at 130+ MPH without a cage and harnesses on

My car is a street car mostly, IF I can get the 9 sec slip then I will make the decision to turn it into a track car only. I mostly just want the 9 sec bragging rights. If the track becomes a regular thing, the cage will go in for sure.

clutch and suspension/tires will be the key to attaining your goal in that 6 speed.

You might want to take a look at the note in the bottom of my sig. Your welcome to try and beat it, remember the vette's independent rear does not launch like the F-bods.

at the 850~870 rwhp level I went through about $3000 in clutches in a year. Never got one to make a pass. I gave up after that and put a TH400 and stock longblock, cam only after that.

There are a few more options out now though. I think i would try the RAM twin disc. Or I would fab a cable setup.

at 600~620 it went 10.0 at 138

Are you pretty much full weight or have you done any "dieting"?

sit in traffic for an hour or so with a stiff clutch and then remember that! lol
but they both have their ups and downs.
I do sit in traffic with a stiff clutch . I have had both auto and a 6speed and no contest which has more of a a fun factor !

easy, easy, easy, us autos might have a hard time sticking with even the less modded M6 guys but guess what, my LS1 is never boring and i am quite sure will never be boring, unless i blow it up, knowck on wood, and plus, me A4 hasnt lost to an M6 from a dig yet, lol, prolly cuz i havent found none with enough skill and power to beat me

I just bought my first 6 speed LS1, I had an A4 before this one. I agree that its more fun in an M6 car, but with Chicago traffic I find myself switching to the winter beater sometimes just to get a break. When I had the A4 you couldnt get me out of that thing. So they both kinda have their ups and downs.
