Default Where do you think I should set my window switch?

Hey guys right now I have my window switch at 3400on and 6600off and I shift a 6800-6900rpm and my rev limiter at 7200. I just have a TNT twister force 2 kit with the a 150 shot. Rest of engine mods are full bolt ons, ms3, ls6 intake and LT headers. I am a M6 car

Why cut it out before the shift? The car has a WOT switch right?
If it was my car 3000 on 7000 off, shifting between 6800-6900.

well i see you have a cam what is your rev limiter set at ? if it is at 6500 set it on 3000 and off 6300 or 6400! You def dont want to hit the rev limiter with it still spraying lol!

Wot switch wont make him shift the car before the rev limiter? What i am saying is if he is slow on shifting and messes up he could bounce the rev limiter while spraying which isnt to good to do all the time!

You don't care about horsepower when your on the jug...... your concern should be TORQUE and you make the most torque while on the jug when you shift early (I wouldn't shift this low if I was NA) When im on the jug my goal is to get to 4th asap (NA i'd shift around 65-6600, on the jug i'd shift @ 6000).......

Just try it ONCE.... wont hurt and im SURE you'll go faster than your best time you have spraying currently. (assuming weather/60' foots are the same or similiar)

I probably didn't explain this very clearly but I do have a friend that was running consistent 11.3-11.4's at the track back in sept of last year shifting @ 6600 on the jug: when I found this out I suggested he try shifting at 6000 just ONCE.... and the next time out he ran a 11.01, and the next run he ran a 10.9 by the end of the day (he had gotten in about 10 runs) his best was either the above 10.9 or a 10.8 (can't remember) I DO know he ran those times for the rest of the afternoon! (he LOVES his synergy 2 step)

hope this helps a little

works better than a shift light

I have mine set from 3100-6100 (valve train is good for 7K
but my power starts dropping off about 6200, so there's no reason to rev higher

So you lose a whole bunch of power a half second before every shift so you don't have to watch the tach, or hook up a shift light?

no, I shift at 6100
