Good luck, but seriously even if it does go 9's on motor, don't think you will put a 300 hit to it and go 8's It takes about 300 more hp to go from 10.9 to 9.9, to go from 9.9 to 8.9 will take about 500 more hp....... it's not a linear thing man, the faster you go, the more it takes to go faster.

Exactly why its not as easy as everyone thinks.

This clown shoes LS1cp is adding up his horsepower box tops.......ricer math as we like to call it.

"I went 10.2 if I put a 300 shot on it it will go 8's easy " CLOWN!

Here's the reality - you're saying that it is "easy" and talking a lot about what your car "could" do, although you've never done it.

The truth is that there are only a handful of guys on this site that have pushed their nitrous setups really hard trying to set the world on fire and all of them have hurt their motors doing it. I'm a prime example. And when they did succeed, nobody is saying that it's easy. But according to you, that doesn't apply to your car. Good luck with that thinking.

You are a bold young man to post up such a pencil whipping about what you could do. It's great that you have ambition, but you might try a dose of reality with it.

ATV has as much wrench turning in my car as I do. We built both our cars in his garage. We had different goals. Mine was more of a how fast can we go on this much money and his was how fast can i go and drive it to work and such with full leather. I believe both cars met there goal extremely well. ATVs car makes within 10 hp of mine NA with 40 less cubes and can handle almost as much juice so hes still got a shot at an 8 once we finish it up again. his last setup was 2 single dry nozzle stages.his new will be a DP and a dry stage. with 100-150 more hp. It went on the bumper and broke the tranny and oil pan with only a few runs on it with the last setup. With me going to PGD's we just have not had the time to get his togeather and now its 95 degrees every day out here so no one wants to work on cars after a full day of work. looks like this weekend will be a little nicer so we will try to finish it up.

math, look@ my sig, I understand it well LOL. Alot of cars "could" do this or "should" do that...... hell my car "should" run alot faster then it has with the power it makes and what it weigh's.... but until it's dont it it's all hearesay. I mean 10.8 to 10.9 with 470 rw in a 3400 lb car is less then impressive.... but that's why I'm working on it, hell gonna go see tomorrow if the changes get me anything.

I hope this guy does get the car into the 8's... but if he honestly thinks it's as easy as slappin a 300 hit on the car he's in for a big surprise, and I suspect a big BOOM the first run if he actually pills it to 300 and runs it.... wether it's a big boom from the car hitting the wall or coming down from an attempt to hit the moon.... or past the 1/2 way point of the tack, there will be a BOOM.

I just hope someone gets it on video and posts it up.

you dont have to explain your car or atv's car to this guy. the people who know, know. the people that dont, dont, and the people that think they know usually dont have a clue.

the people in this thread thought 8s on the spray was possible. When I started building this car the goal was 8s and I watched mr. powells car go from a 10.60car at 125 to a 8.95 car on a 300shot with the same weight.
https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...=603499&page=1

Most people in here crying about how hard it is have 3500pound cars. Maybe I shouldnt have said easy but I dont think its as hard as you all think. I will just have to do it then so stop crying.
