Default can I hook a 300shot off the transbrake

I am going to run a mt et drag radial 315/60/15. The car will be lighter this year around 3000-3050 with driver. I have a powerglide with a 1.76 gear and a 3.70 rearend gear. The converter is real tight and I am hoping this keeps it off the bumper. So do you think I can hook a 300shot right off the brake and not flip it over on its roof?

That is a fairly intense shock for the chassis right off the bat but good luck with it. Let us know how it turns out.

I'm on a slick and hit 300 off the brake all day. I had the same gearing setup and it wasn't enough so I just moved up in gear.

The 1.76 gear should help settle it down some for sure.

Shiz put his on the bumper off the foot brake.

1.76 1st and a 225 shot .... 30" radial 3,500 lbs.

Travel limiters at a minimum , I would split it up or progress it.

300 out of the hole is alot of Cyl. pressure too.

Yup, basically a 300 off the brake, 150 and then 150 .1 seconds later, used to stay down to a 4 to 5 foot wheelie but since adding the 90/90 it's now going to the bumper, I put limiters on the car that i'm playing with right now to try and keep her down to maybe a 2 - 3 foot wheelie tops. This is on a 28" stiff sidewall ET Drag like John said and a th400 which has a first gear of 2.44 if i'm not mistaken and she dead hooks, once I get the limiters dialed in, i'm hopin to see 1.2x 60' times and hopefully some 9.2's with this new intake on there with the 300.

my car on shakedown motor passes went 10.20s So it has some power. I should be about 200pounds lighter and another 50+hp na this year. I think travel limiters will make this happen. I am worried about the cylinder pressure and doing it on drag radials. I might run a progressive but I dont like the beating they put on the solenoids. At least it would only be for a second or so.

I think I will just a small fogger nozzle in the intake tube to run a 100shot. I will set the other 200 on a delay. I hope just to get the car close to 9.70s na
On a 300shot who knows how fast it will go

Put front limters on it and put the **** to it.Also take advantage of the 4150 flange and put a plate system on it also.Takes the monster hit off of it if you don't have to. After i pull second i manual push the second stage and it feels sweat.

don't be suprised if it don't still do big wheelies. Nitrous does not seem to care if the you lug it we thought mine was gravy and under estimated the 225 shot because of the glide. and it went to the bumper imediatly off the foot brake. the travel limiters got it more under control now.But then again my plate kit hits harder than any nitrous kit we have used yet.the 225 made 227 to the wheels. And the radials i run tend to do big wheelies. I still think mine would lift hard on a 300 shot and theres no way we could hit it off the t-brake. good luck with it i hope it works for you. On a 300 shot 1.2's should be no problem.

ls1408 - It sounds like you've already given up before you even try it. The key is your suspension tune. If you are running that 300 on a fogger, you CAN hook the big shot off the line and not go on the bumper with the gearing you have. I guarantee it.

If you are trying that with a plate, that's a whole 'nother world and it will hit harder and go higher. You'll have to strap the front super tight to hold that down. The 200 shot on my NX plate hit super hard and made over 300 to the wheels.
