and where is powell now? not racing because he blew it up last I heard... not knocking him because he did more then most ever will.... but that's probbaly why you haven't heard of him doing anything ever since he ran the 8 second pass.

I think he just lost interest. If I blow it up it wont matter I have the next motor already planned and will be starting on it shortly.

Most people in here crying about how hard it is have 3500pound cars. Maybe I shouldnt have said easy but I dont think its as hard as you all think. I will just have to do it then so stop crying.
Funny thing is folks (that includes me) would WANT you to go 8's with your car until you puffed up about it being so easy and started adding up your HP boxtops (credit ATV with that fancy line right there). So you say it's not as hard as we all think, but the guys in this thread actually have experience.

I say you oughta just move on to the next project since you've already accomplished everything without even running the car.

Already saying you're sorry? Awww, ain't that sweet. You might want to save those sorry's for when you actually try and run the car instead of wishing it down the 1/4 mile.

Just get it on video, especially the puff of smoke that happens at about the 1000 foot mark.

why its not rocket science simple tuning and time will go along way. Thats why I didnt spray the combo before so I could get it as fast as possible on motor before i started spraying

OK, it's been fun but now it's back to being serious.

The number one thing that you're going to need isn't power, it's the tune up. You can jet it all day long but if you don't work your way up and have experience tuning with nitrous it can get ugly quick.

yes I am going to run 200 on the directport and 100 on a nozzle in the ramair setup going to my wilson 105mm. I will start with alittle extra fuel pressure and go form there.

You do know that when you pull a bunch of timing and put in a plug a couple (or 3 ) steps colder and jump up to C16 that you're not going to be starting with a 10.2 n/a car anymore, right?

are you sure I know if I ran the car na with the nitrous tune it would run like ****. So say i do the nitrous tune then spray do you not gain any of it back. Like say my car na with a na tune does 500rwhp but na with a nitrous tune does 440. Now on a 300 shot does the car do 800rwhp or 740rwhp. Because you say you wont start with a 10.20 car with a nitrous tune but dont you gain most of the power back from the tune when you spray.

Like this is guess whos car running on motor 555rwhp
https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...=659159&page=1

now he does his nitrous tune with a 300shot and makes 820rwhp on a fat tune
https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...=659159&page=1

so lets say he lost 35rwhp that could be made back up in the tune right?
So I would be starting with a 10.20car because I gain all the loss from timing back when I spray right?

Yes, I'm sure. The power you make on motor is the power you make. Adding nitrous doesn't change what power is made on motor. So when you switch to your nitrous tune and the motor HP goes down, that's the point in which you are starting from.

I'm thinking that you haven't setup a nitrous tune before and if that is the case I really suggest you get someone with a lot of experience to help. It will save your wallet and frustration a lot of missed hurting.
