Default Quick blow down tube question

Can you use braided steel (flexible) line as a blow down tube? I dont want to drill through my car and would like to route the blow down tube to the opposite side of the car and out the gromet under the spare tire.

yes you can, its -8AN.

One word of caution though- Make sure you use a bulkhead fitting where it goes though the floor. Dont just push it through a rubber grommet. The reason is if you ever pop a burst disc, the hose will whip like a fire hose, except more violent.

.

We use steel braid blow downs. I had the 2 bottles into a Y then into a bulkhead at the floor. They made me run 2 lines 2 bulkheads, just so u know, some tracks might not like Roberts.

I used large -8 powersteering hose with stainless ends on it. I was worried about a rubber hose exploding inside the car, even if it does have stainless braid around it.

pressure on the blow down really isn't much of a concern, reason: it's an open ended hose. That's how some kits get away with poly (plastic) lines after the noids-open ended. It is much tricker running braided though.

Sweet thanks for the pix. Thats what I like to see. So I take it I'll still be stuck drilling a hole in the floorboard? O well I guess I can live with it.
