Default Fuel pump ?

I am getting a NX kit going to be spraying 100 shot, what I was wondering if I get a fpss would it be necessary to get a new feul pump (walbro) right away feul pressure drops that should catch it right. I do want to go a 150 shot but will probably upgrade the feul pump before then.

you should be ok at 100, 150 get a inline pump to avoid the spike so the consensus goes...

You will need an intank pump not an inline . Go with a racetronix pump plus hotwire kit there easy to install. If your worried about the leanspike after you install the new pump shortening your fuel line from the noid to the nozzle a couple of inches works good and adjustments can be made on the dyno to fix that problem! 100 shot with miminum mods on stock timing should be ok but it would be worth to getting a tune especially since you can gain some more power out of her with a good tuner .

Ok, seriously....I sprayed a 100rwhp shot dry with my car with just bolt-ons and it was fine on the stock pump.

Becouse you dont need to upgrade your pump on a small dry shot . when you start getting up there in dry shots you would need to replace your injectors and pump. If your only doing 100 wet shot your stock pump should be ok with a few mods but 150 and more mods you will need a new pump to be safe for sure. Its 200 bucks for an intake pump kit that has a hotwire kit. 200 dollars can save you alot of money in the end.

I hear the inline pump takes care of the initial draining of the fuel rail issue. After installing an inline the initial lean spike goes away.

An inline pump wont help the fact that the intake pump isnt strong enough to keep up with the quanity of fuel it will be asking for when you spray a larger shot with mods. Inline pump will just flow the fuel that comes out of the pump faster not quanity. If you did both it would be great.

Incorrect. When you run a dry kit you need to upgrade your injectors AND pump. If you have enough mods and/or spraying a decent size shot, both will be required to be safe

A pump in a dry shot car isnt as critical as a wett shot on a car enless it is decently modded car and spraying over a 100 shot . If he is planning on just spraying 100 shot with minor mods he can probally get by without the pump and jsut get some better flowing injectors. But a pump is cheap insurance
