Question Help a Girl with a 100shot of N2O on a stock T/A?

Okay first off,
My car is pretty much stock,
with the excption of suspension.. I have a 100 shot of
Nitrous [ZEX dry kit] with a 75 shot, 100 shot, and 125shot jets but I'm seeing a problem..
Shouldn't I change some stock internals to aftermarket internals? Such as pistons and rods?

The car has 94,xxxmi on it without any issues.
But I'm afraid that if I run that 100 shot on it stock
that its going to blow something... I've tried to explain
that to my dad.. Who say's its perfectly fine, but I REALLY
don't want to blow a perfectly fine engine.... with one use
of Nitrous.

So any suggestions?

I really would like to get something down, before that kit
goes on..

Oh and will nitrous explode on impact if someone hits my car and the bottle is in it?

and any suggestions on where I could put that 100shot in a 98 T/A?

Thanks a bunch
-Chelsea

A stock internal LS1 should handle a 100 shot no problem.

Father knows best.

Thousands of people spraying on stock motors.

Be sure to include a Window switch, Colder plugs (TR6's gapped at .035) and a heater for the bottle in your install.

been running 150+ for two years now. if you are having such conflicts about using it, then i suggest waiting until you are settled about it.

nitrous is non-flammable. if you were to get into an accident and the bottle was to get punctured it won't burst into flames. it's nothing more than oxygen and nitrogen. the bottle and it's components might become projectiles at a really high velocity, though.

I had a 150 wet shot on my car with a lid and catback, made 397rwhp and 515rwtq on a Mustang dyno. The car took it like a champ, don't hurt a thing except maybe the rearend. Just don't do it halfass and you will be fine.

As for the bottle exploding, it won't burst you into flames although it might put a hole through the 1/4 panels, but then if the car got hit hard enough it's not like that would matter. Don't worry about it, if it kills you we all have to die someday lol.

Its just that everyone around here is gripping that its a bad
idea to put it on a stock car.
But I want it there. I just need to know of a really good place to put it..

**** no, stay away from the platinum 4s. NGK T6. But you would find that out if you would search.

Only a bad idea if you do it wrong.

Well I hate hate hate hate with a passion I hate platnium 4's.. They made my car idle to hard and it didnt want to start in the mornings when it was really cold.
I have NGK's now. they are one point not 3 point though.

the first thing i did to my black car was put nitrous on it. and i do mean the first thing. no lid, no exhaust, nitrous first. went 11.97 @ 117 on a 150 shot. i do suggest no platinum plugs. use NGK TR6 or autolite 103.

suggestions on placement

It was nice, except traction was bad lol. I ended up selling my n2o stuff for a turbo, but then I told my boss to shove it and can't get the turbo now lol.

i would honestly worry about the transmission before the engine

you have a trans cooler right?

when my nitrous kit goes on i will be keeping the window to 3000-5800 with the shifts at 6000 and first gear blocked out

if it has a stall in it, it has a cooler, or it would be dead

Have you ever done a compression check on your engine? I would suggest this before any spray with that mileage.

We haven't put the stall in yet.

its going on when the nitrous is installed.
Where could I get a compression check?
I live in a VERY small town

ok first off.. stay far far away from platinum plugs with n2o that will cause you motor problems.. the zex dry kit seems like it will be good for you as its a great starter kit just remember on an LS1 you have to basically disregard all the instructions that come with the kit as you have to spray pre maf..

some ngk TR6's, hit it with a wideband to make sure the a.f is right and spray away.. if its done right a 100 shot ain't gunna hurt a thing.. i put 300 to the stock bottom end.. although i don't recommend anyone else do that..

and most of all

Have fun

Mike
