Question 2 Solenoid or 4 Solenoid Please explain this to me

Ok so I'm not a complete idiot and I understand that a 2 solenoid system has one for the fuel and one for the nirtous and a 4 solenoid system has two for the fuel and two for the nitrous but why????? I just don't understand why and when and if you would need the extra solenoid for each. I'm sure theres a reason but what?

Could someone explain this to me.

A lot of single stage set-ups use 4 solenoids too. It really depends on the system lay-out. You will find most Direct ports on carb'd intakes are 4 solenoid.

.

Foggers use 4 because 2 won't have enough volume for big hits. I'm not an engineer, but that's what I was taught. Maybe someone knows the max volume per noid and the formula to figure max HP??

Some dry hits use more than one noid per stage also, one of my old set-ups.

ive heard some use them on a single stage in line for saftey, that way if one solenoid gets stuck open there is one more to prevent the nitrous staying on.

Anytime we use a progressive controller we always use a 2nd on-off solenoid before the main one incase the pulsing damages it.
