a kb 2.2 is capable of 600 + so i'd say with the 2.8 on pump gas should be capable of mid 6xx and 700 on race gas so you better bring a manly shot of giggle juice.i'd say a 150 shot won't be enough from a roll and even a 200 shot you may be on the recieving end but you never know till you try.i'd personally hit it with a 150 and see how you stand.

Besides my tranny and converter, the driveline is basically stock so anything too big would make for great fireworks but bad for my wallet if the car hooked. Thats where the progressive comes in.

yeah ima say a 200 shot from a dig. you should upgrade the trans and get a trans brake and spray that bitch off the trans brake (if you got the money n parts to support it). but yeah those kb cobras are so sick

I saw a convertible whipple cobra Et 10.6 & trap 139mph at Evadale Raceway (Texas). I believe the average KB Et in the 10.9 - 10.4 range with mph in the 130+. I believe you will need a stroker and 150 shot or a 250 shot or better with a heads and cam package.

I wanna keep the car running good NA so I'd rather run race fuel in a stand alone and not retard the timing as much. Good idea?

A friend of mine raced one in his 01 SS recently and pulled it pretty hard. The cobra was making right at 600 rwhp and his SS made 549rwhp/648rwtq on a 150 shot, they went from a 50mph roll and my friend got out on him like 2 car lengths almost instantly and by 100mph shut it down because the cobra wasnt gaining any ground. They get out harder from a roll because theyre already moving (weight disadvantage from a dig), but if you catch them in a good range you can definitely get out on one like we raced with a 150 shot
However from a dig it's anyones ball game, and if you can get out without spinning you'll probably get out far enough where he cant catch you.

I don't know his dyno numbers though. I was guessing 650ish, maybe more.

yeah what do you have a 572 cubic inch motor with the rest of the car fully built? 150 will not send him home by any means. oh and was the cobra sittin on a tire or some street tires??? trust me 150 will not do it i say 200+
