Default How much spray to beat a KB cobra?

My mods are in sig and I have a forged bottom end, stock cubes. How big of a shot would I need to keep up with or beat a 2.8 KB cobra on pump gas? I haven't been to the track with the M/T drag radials yet but I estimate an 11.8 @ 114-115 mph. I hope this is enough info.

With your setup I'd say 100 shot would probably do it but 150 to be safe.

Nice setup BTW. I'm the next town over in patchogue.

if u made 409rwhp n/a then i would say at least a 150, that puts you around the 560rwhp range and you have a slight weight advantage. most kb cobras put down 600+rwhp

Nice, you probably go to the locals: bald hill, DPA, captree, and the one on Montauk hwy(dont remember the name)

Im lookin to possibly swap cams to something like you have, a Torquer V2 or so. How do you like it?

I think a 150-175 shot would get it done

I like the cam a lot, seems to be a popular one around here this year also. I usually hit bald hill and belmore. Once in a while oakdale (montauk hwy). Our local board is www.fastlsx.com I'm sure we'll run into each other some time and you can hear the cam.

The rear end on the cobras are ****. They dont hook up for ****. On a 100 shot you would kill him from a dig. I have done it with my LT1 on a 150 shot. NOW on the freeway I would go 150+ the KB cobras are bad *** on the freeway. THAT IS JUST MY .02

I'd say at least 150, depending on the race conditions(track or street(roll) ).

Yeah, I originally wanted to do a 200 shot with a stand alone fuel system, and a progressive controller since all I got for hooking is rlca, rlca reloc brac., and MT ET drag radials.

I wanna keep the car running good NA so I'd rather run race fuel in a stand alone and not retard the timing as much. Good idea?

KB Cobra's can be nasty. You really have to be careful on the street, they are extremely quick from a roll. Chances are if they have a KB they probably have a solid axle too and just might be able to leave decent. A head/cam fbody with a good amount of spray, that can hook worth anything should be able to hold one off from a dig.
