What would cause my 100 shot to go fat?
I had the car dynoed and when the kit hit the AF started at 11.5 at about 5000 rpms, 11.0 at 5600 rpms, and went to 10.5 at 6000 rpms all the way to 6400. I pick up 95 rwhp on the 100 shot before the H/C and fuel pump, after it only picked up 75. What would cause this?
how does the a/f look on motor, does it decrease also, go fatter? how does the fuel pressure look, does it increase with more rpm? one last thing, did the bottle pressure fall off? these all could contribute to the a/f going fatter.
Hey an M-town boy. I'm from Memphis myself. Are you on MRS? Any ways...the AF on the motor starts at 12.5 then goes to 12.8. They said they filled the bottle when they strapped the car down. As far as fuel pressure I really couldn't tell you anything on that one.
I tried to get several of the MRS guys to go meet up and get something the last time came to Memphis. I will try to holla at you the next time I have to come to town. I still have lots of family that still live there and I also have quite a few customers there that need training from time to time.
What did you think of my AF on the hose. I going to go log the car because I got on it today on the motor and at about 85-90 mph I got some knock.

well the first hit doesn't look too bad at 11.5, but it goes very fat toward the end of the run, i would try to find out what is causing it to go so fat on the upper rpms and try to lean it out some. could be losing nitrous pressure. on the motor tune it looks as the car gets leaner in the upper rpm, seems to me that your nitrous pull should follow this pattern.

I ran a 11.08@123 w/ 1.64 60'. I just knew I would see 10's but on the run with the best 60' the tranny let go but it still ran a 11.48@111 w/ 1.58 60'. Looks like I have other things to worry about now. The tranny was the one thing that I wasn't worried about. I just knew I was going to cash the 10 bolt. Trending Topics

(sorry you had to be there)
Did you figure it out? Lots of possibilities. I'd start with looking at your nitrous feed side. Bottle pressure falling off a bit?
