purge relay i know this is a simple question, and I used to remember how the relays are wired...but i've been in the sun all day, so i'll use that as an excuse
I've looked in the wiring sticky but there isn't a diagram for JUST a purge with a relay
I'm using the ZEX rapid fire modul, but that shouldn't make a difference? thats just inline with the power from the switch.
I've got it connected so that when I push the button I hear the Zex or relay clicking rapidly, but the purge selenoid isn't doing anything
anybody got a picture??

Terminal marked 30 = your favorite +12V source; terminals marked 85 and 86 = + and -, where either or comes from your purge button; terminal 87 = power out to relay; terminal 87a = use this and you'll always be purging unless your finger is on the switch, so don't use it.

i connected everything just like that and nothing happened at all
I've toyed with different combinations and have gotten the Zex rapid fire to throw the relay back and forth rapidly, but NOT the purge selenoid....
i've tried a whole bunch of combinations and nothing is working. the selenoid does fire when powered directly
again, heres what I have
Purge selenoid, one wire grounded to the car, the other is coming over to terminal 87
Zex Rapid Fire - black wire is grounded to the car, red wire is coming from my purge button, white wire to terminal 85
termal 30 is constant 12V
now why isnt this working

found a diagram for the purge kit....from looking at their diagram...try adjusting the wires accordingly.
Post 1 = pin 86
post 2 = pin 85
post 3 = pin 87
post 5 = pin 87a
called ZEX to verify but they could not give the post to pin relation....if the diagram is to scale on the harness the above coraspondence should be correct
